Asked for T5, got T4. Now I have to waste acuity for a recraft

Sorry, but this is a discussion about a potential flaw in the system. Just because you have your way of looking at it doesn’t make it right.

Have a nice day.

I wish someone would find the blue post that explains why they didn’t put a rank requirement on public work orders.

I tried but their blue tracker doesn’t have a search

What would it matter? Blizz has made changes because of player feedback. This is a discussion. A blue post doesn’t mean it’s correct.

It’s a request, not a demand or a guarantee.

For example if you reserve a hotel room you can ask to be far away from the elevator, after you make that REQUEST you could get the rook right next to the elevator.

That isn’t a scam, that’s the hotel being unable or unwilling to provide what you asked for.

not really

this is you stamping your feet and holding your breath over what you think the public notes should be vs. what they aren’t.

I don’t think most care if they add a rank requirement to public work orders. I know it wouldn’t affect me. All people seem to be saying here is the crafting notes is not some custom order requirement field people can put requests in and expect them to be honored.

It’s not a flaw. It is the stated intent, working as intended, where your opening was a complaint that someone filled your order.

These two sum things up well I believe

You remind me of the people that were against the player trade change. If someone offered you 200g for something and hit the backspace at the last second, people said “well it’s your fault for hitting the accept button too fast”.

And what did Blizz do? Changed the system.

mmhmm

There’s nothing remotely related between your situation and that example, at all. Also, if you’re looking for feedback: The work order system does what it is made for and does it well. If people won’t read, there’s no amount of changes that can satisfy them

Sure, whatever you say.

I disagree.

the argument could be made that in a game where patron orders now exist, the need for public orders to level is no longer a thing, therefore they should implement crafting quality on public orders.

the fact remains however, the comment box is not that.

Then remove it.

No. Just because you tried to take a communication tool and use it as something it is not does not mean others shouldn’t get to use it properly.

And what is “properly”?

Since the crafting tables have a range of qualities, it seems to me that asking for a certain quality type is “proper”.

Or do you think it’s to ask how the weather is?

It’s for any (non-infractionary) communication. It’s not for replacing a minimum quality setting to be something else, which is why it cannot replace a minimum quality setting.

…in your opinion.

personally i use it to say thank you and leave a smile for the crafter who gets the order

No, no its not. The chat box doesn’t provide a minimum quality option, and Blizzard did not intend a minimum quality on public orders. It’s not an opinion.

I didn’t say it wasn’t a “minimum quality option”, did I?

Please show me where I said that.

I’m sure there’s more but I’m not putting in the effort. It’s already more effort than you put into getting your item crafted though

Those are requests, not “options”.

Try again.
