I won’t disagree with you there. That’s not what that post you replied to implied though. They said it was bleeding, not dead.
I don’t think it will be the next so called WoW killer. There does seem to be a lot going on for it though and I wish them all the success in the world. Hopefully it won’t be a lot of failed deliveries on things talked about.
yeah, that was a flop and a half. It wasn’t really received unwell it was initially received very well. But the garbage that happened…well.
First there was exploiters, exploiters got banned, then they walked it back and unbanned them letting them keep all their exploited stuff. Then the new “Archepass” got canceled, took forever to give compensation for it Finally they do it’s only a fraction of what they would have gotten with the pass. Additionally turns out some people didnt get it at all while others got double. Pulled back on the compensation system, reintroduced it. Then made it so there was restrictions on it which made it so alts wasn’t getting their benefits of it. Finally brings back archpass…it has explots again, they pull it back and the entire first process happened again. Finally bring back the archpass and it sticks. But I didn’t even mention all the times servers was down for full days during all that.
Complete mess.
His comment was purely conjecture.
Wow is already killing itself. I’ve been a dedicated player for about a total of at least 11 years (7ish years more recently as I took a break getting hacked between wrath and mop since playing between late vanilla>end wrath) and the amount of effort this corruption system did, this expansion the fact it was basically a flop expansion as well.
- this is just another vanillanoob thread even though the game DOES actually look amazing and I might actually consider leaving WoW over it if it does well and doesn’t fall through.
- I’d also like to state that wow’s management team kinda blows. The fact nobody really looks into tickets… The community -ACTUALLY- is toxic if you don’t have a guild and even then some guilds actually are flat out toxic. Not all of them but quite a bit.
Never was a fan of the game, always smelled of p2w but it was kind of fun on occasion.
But trion was never a great company, look at what they did to rift lol.
That game is more Final Fantasy than WoW though. Like I said mmos now are doing their own thing. I’ve watched so many mmos rise up and so many die afterwards in the last 15 years while WoW just kept pushing on.
WoW has made their own game that an insane amount of people love and they even made a version of their own game for those that like the way it used to be. So now we have two communities for WoW. I don’t think the majority of each community is looking for a replacement. Only if the majority of players leave WoW in it’s entirety will kill it.
We’ll see new mmos sure but no “WoW killer”. No mmo is going to actually try and be WoW anymore, looks like they are all taking the better approach and being their own game to attempt to stand the test of time.
If you say so, bud. Think it went over your head. You made a knee jerk reaction.
I fell for the trap because the p2w wasn’t there. And it still isn’t honestly it’s better in that regard but… yeah team is just incompetent. Like if Blizzard did all that to their player base… this forum would be on literal fire.
Pretty much what most level-headed people think.
Seems like Blizzard is doing a good job too
It’s gamigo now isn’t it? Heard they’re even worse lol.
BAHAHHAHA. Probably time for you to move on from WoW.
Also that game sounds horrible. Not my cup of team and sure it won’t even come close to active players of SWTOR and Rift and those 2 aren’t even close to the players that play ESO, FFXIV and WoW.
Yeah, but its really hard to know who is to blame Gamigo or XLgames. I don’t care. I pulled out of that lol.
I don’t think so. I just love these threads. I get it that they’re just baiting people but when you can make them question their own sanity, it’s fun.
I would not call it a WoW killer. If it turns out to be good it will be the next step for mmo’s though. Some kind of revolutionary mmo is going to come out soon enough that is going to be a game changer. Ashes might be it, it might not, they are trying something grand either way and that is a good thing.
Kind of glad I completely forgot about it being a thing lol.
Maybe but Ion is casting HoTs in the form of new racial customizations and allied races.
Yeah, most games involving item loss typically resign themselves to incredibly niche markets.
It was only half as bad as Wolcens launch though…
Let me tell you a story about wolcen…
I’m still hoping for Wolcen, I bought it about a year before launch lol.
But I got it for super cheap lol, did get quite a lot of enjoyment out it.
