Oh so then you know… exploits, wipes, only allowed a single patch a week regardless of circumstance. /eyetwitch. I lost my character so many times I lost count.
Yea, thankfully i never played online yet.
I don’t think you left the impact you desired, bro.
Oh, trust me, I did.
I love the wheel of fate thingy, I wonder how WoW would work with something like that. I miss the old talent system but I think a cool new talent system with more variety would be awesome. Guess it wouldn’t matter though everyone cookie cuts in the end. This is why we can’t have good things.
Ok then.
glances over at warhammer, guild wars and several other “wow killing” titles whose names I forget
The community of players that will mostly play AOC do not Play Retail. They use to, many moons ago, but haven’t for ever and won’t be back.
Alot of them were in classic though. Blizz has screwed over the PVPMMO community to the point where they gave up, so not much to bleed. Some are in WOW, I am but the second ashes drops I will be deuces.
The Majority of wow players are PVE loving Causuals. That is why the WOW killers never kill wow, because the WOW killers are more HC games, or have extreme PVP focus. The average wow player has no interest in playing a game they actually have to play to get anywhere.
So wows loot pinata will always keep those people.
If I can’t make a snek waifu I will be disappointed…
Then we’ll see you the following expansion because the game isn’t as good as it looked.
Video of the gameplay looks like Rift. We know how well that did.
Game A WoW killer. WoW still here. Game B WoW killer. Still here. Game C WoW killer. Still here. Lost count already.
I miss Warhammer Online though.
I like how most of the WoW killers ended up shutting down, some of them actually going bankrupt.
Damn you EA!
They had me until the said leveling to max will take 45 days at 6 hours a day.
That and it’s going to be a 24/7 gankfest during said 270 hours of leveling hell.
Sorry, but no, the next big MMO is not going to be some random game with no IP behind it.
If I were to bet on any game to kill WoW, it would either be a third Star Wars MMO, maybe a Mass Effect MMO, a Witcher MMO, maybe a Game of Thrones MMO… some sort of mondo IP. Dude, Wizards of the Coast is launching a Magic the Gathering MMO and I don’t think it will make a scratch on WoW. The only real challenge WoW has ever had has been Final Fantasy XIV and it’s got more than two decades of source material to draw upon as well as the loyalty of the Japanese fanbase. If FFXIV can’t utterly destroy WoW with all the advantages it has, imagine thinking some no-name off-brand fantasy MMO has a chance.
Calling something a “WoW killer” is just a sad marketing ploy at this point.
You think you did… LOL
why are you still floating in this thread?
hahahaha
what a sad impact you made on this thread
Maybe, maybe not.
It will depend on what is out next. I am a PVP MMO player. Wow is and always will be a casuaul side game for the dark times between MMOs/Expacs ect for me.
If you kill non-combatants or lower level characters you get an increasing debuff or something.
It won’t be as big of a gangfest as wow is I don’t think.
What a sad impact you made on the forum.
“The next WoW killer”. If I had a nickel.
