Am I the only one who thinks this looks amazing!? The brief clip they showed in the 20th anniversary announcement video of the model in game looks so cool, I love the way the hair flows, its gonna stand out, way better then the boring model we have now. Here is the clip.

I saw a few people who like it, alot of people seem to hate it.
I am curious if its gonna have some kinda built in spiritwalkers grace, they are all floating, maybe built in water walking.
It’s really interesting to try the “summerize” option up top.
The ONLY thing you get from that : it IS horrible as per the shaman community.
There’s one guy suggesting the character would be “surrounded” or “engluf” in some sort of water/fire/air/lightning stuff (could it be according to some talent? that would be nice) and i think that this is a really good idea. I really enjoy my character and all and i dont mind playing it. A visual “buff” more than a new form could be an option.
But this thing is really not it. I would prefer the ugly one we have atm.

You are certainly a minority here. Many of us were hoping for a better model. Maybe something we can customize in the barbershop, maybe the return of the much prefer glyph. But no, we get to look like an elemental juggalo with troll doll hair.

I just want to “Ascend” as my character, surrounded by the elements as you levitate above the ground.
Restoration = Surrounded by a globe of healing waters and other worldly looking watery transcendence. Looking like a watery Jesus.
Elemental = Surrounded by a mix of lava, pulsing lighting, earth, and frost. Looking like a master of the elements.
Enhancement = Surrounded by a mix of wind and lighting. Looking like Thor.
Instead, this looks like an elemental version of Krusty the clown from the Simpsons with 3 different hair colors. They say they listen…who and what are they listening too?
Why not have players produce fan art about ascendance forms?

Both the current model and this new one that they featured are really bad. Not at all what I envision when I think the shaman class. It would be nice to see the return of the old glyph and maybe a couple of new ones to appease a wider range of people. I’ve avoided the talent for a long time because of it’s model and will continue to do so if it remains visually unappealing.

Just horrible. I still miss the lightning fingers ascendance with enhance had at first. Blizzard then decided to just give us glaive farts. Now they doubled down on the horrible model with new textures. Wooo…
Why are we turning into ascended elementals again? Those guys were the bad guys in cataclysm.

I actually think it’s now officially a reskin of Lady Waycrest.
Hair, face, hands all way to similar. They just changed it to have our upright levitation stance, like we just not hunched over.

So here’s a more detailed look at the new models.
Honestly, the fire one looks the best, but that’s only because the hairstyle works for that element. Storm and Water are just meh.
Looking at those screenshots from behind now its looks like we are playing a ghoul that went super saiyan. The big head of hair is so distracting.

Is the resto one female? also yes the more I look into them the worse they get, cant unsee the twisted metal clown or heat miser look alike anymore. (nothing related to the female question).
