As a transgender player

The nuance I think lies in that, this sort of halfhearted inclusion would probably be a horrible stereotype.

That’s really the reality of it I think

I like to joke around on the GD but that’s going a bit too far tbh

It was because she was muscular, leading people to believe she was a trans woman and that there was a sex scene with a trans woman. They then proceeded to spout transphobic rhetoric.

I’m not familiar with how the game works. How are the flags implemented? Player icons?

Yes. They implemented over a dozen different pride flags. The sheer volume, to me, is evidence that someone somewhere might actually cares

There’s like 20 of them or something. If you just wanted brownie points you’d toss in a rainbow and be done with it.

That sounds fine to me. I’ve advocated for something similar with overwatch player icons.

there’s a solid chance it is just for the bottom line and someone somewhere is laughing at me because the marketing worked.

But someone somewhere also gets to make an icon with a flag frankly I have never even seen before and I bet that makes them happy.

Trans people just love to make everything about themselves.

It was literally changed for optics. No other reason.

Very racist and sexist towards white men

This thread is getting to deep for my liking and should be removed. People can’t agree on anything in life it’s a sad sad sad world we live in now run by HATE AND GREED.

You know, haven’t seen a single one of those threads since pre patch dropped. Funny, that.

So if you are a white man it is ok to make it all about yourself?

Good to know.

There was one overnight, but it poofed by morning.

edit: words are hard

You would think they went through thousands of years of oppression with how they reacted

Just to throw my 2 cents in.

As a trans person, I both want and don’t want representation. It’s… weird. Like I am a FtM and I just roll a male toon and that’s my representation, because I don’t want to be viewed as “a woman that is now a man” I just want to be viewed as a Man.

But at the same time, “a woman that is now a man” is what I am, and I want that to be accepted. And representation is part of that acceptance. But how do you represent a trans person in a game like this without it feeling really forced and shoehorned in?

like if they made an NPC that was a trans man, would they use a male model, or a female model that’s been altered to look more masculine? If they just use a male model then they’d need to create some forced story explaining that he was once a She, and that would just feel so…forced.

I think that the Kyrian that was a woman in life and a male in the afterlife is a great idea for representation because it doesn’t feel convoluted and forced, and it doesn’t require anything really special, any new or adjusted models.

I dunno, its an interesting topic I could discuss all day.

i read this as " as a transmoger player "
oh god my brain is broken

Its a fact tho. gender dysphoria is brought on by deep seated depression and maximum self esteem issues…
An individual doesnt know how to cope with these 2 combined llnesses so they develop a gender dysphoria. I guess if it makes them happy then thats great. But lets not sugar coat whats really going on with transgenderism

Idk my daughter is a lesbian and at the age of around 18 plus she thought she was transgender and wanted that operation. Which I didn’t care I love her unconditionally as parents should. But as grew older she realized that’s not what she really wanted. Yes still a lesbian with a beautiful partner now. Makes me wonder if she thought have that operation would make her more exceptable to other women idk. But she is happy within her skin now which makes me happy.
