To each their own, I’m just hoping there comes a day when some space alien symbiote attaches itself to me and then changes my gender in real life to match the characters I play in videogames… basically some deus ex machina / miracle like that, since I don’t think I will ever get to transition otherwise with the way things are now…

Uh gosh… another one of these threads.
As someone who is Trans I don’t really see it as a big deal .To me it’s just as simple when you create a character you have the choice to have that character be male or female and tweek the looks in barber shop.
most of us,by most of us I mean most people in general who play, log in to play and escape the real world for awhile regardless of how we identify with our gender.
You could tell me in game you are a oh let’s say, a raven trapped in a human’s body and my response would be “oh okay.cool”

Think about it. Every single NPC in the game could be LGBT. Even if they are married/bound to the opposite sex they could still be bi curious. So all of these threads about representation are pointless.
Just because someone doesn’t scream “Hey look at me I am gay look at me I am special now!” doesn’t mean they are not LGBT.

maybe this is offensive, but i dont really understand the trans community. maybe its because i am younger but, my goal wasnt to be labeled as trans, but to be labeled as a real girl. i have been on meds for 8 years and people cant even tell im transgender. this game has plenty of female representation that i look up to. 
Gonna have to drop a fat “who cares” on this one.

I don’t find that offensive. I feel very much that way. I just use trans right now as I am at the start of my own transition and well either people will understand and call me a girl or it will be awkward and I have to say “oh I am transgender and in transition”
As for the community, IT has been so so. I just find I want to stay away from the online representation. There are people nearby where I life irl who are much more focused on supporting me in wanting to be a girl.
