I like to think of it like this, let’s say you say this to a person from another country celebrating their culture in your area. You’re basically saying “Surely there’s more to your personality and humanity than just your culture, it neither makes you inferior nor superior to anyone else, you’re just as much of a person as we are”.
Minority groups wanna be proud of things because they’ve been thrown under the bus for being minorities.
I get what you mean when you say “Please, do not let this be the only defining feature you have, and show everyone how normal it should be to be anything within the LGBTQ community.” but the OP just wants to be happy and proud to be who they are. 
I feel like I’ve parsed through all the juicy stuff on Netflix in terms of kdramas. It’s mostly like romcoms, but I prefer thrillers with romance as a subplot.

no. your ‘the op just wants to be happy and proud to be who they are’ statement is really cruel. especially considering the post you’re responding to was saying that people are more than what they think they are and they were trying to get everyone to realize that we / people are more than a single thing.
lgbtq+, straight, your race, profession, religion, etc, are not who we are, they are only parts of what we are, and fairly weak parts seeing as most are out of our control and or flexible. oppression is nasty and we’ll get rid of it but there’s nothing wrong with reminding people that they are more than they think they are.
achieving change/a better world should happen but how it happens should also be kept in check somewhat because sometimes this process teaches those who would have thought themselves to be natural and normal or who wouldn’t have considered themselves ‘unincluded’, that they ‘are less-than’ and ‘in need of representation/a minority/are oppressed’. sometimes kids just grow up feelin good about who they are/being themselves, yet are taught by the very marchers that they shouldn’t feel good about who/what they happen to be. sometimes those seeking normalcy cause an already normal person to feel abnormal.

No one is telling anyone they aren’t normal. It’s normal to be trans, it’s normal to be gay, it’s normal to be straight.
The issue is you are implying the “only” normal people are straight, white, men.
