As a Gaymer, Anduin meant something to me

He was mature enough to play Champions of both factions like fiddles. He was commanding his own organization of shadow spies. He was mature enough to come up with his own political agenda and be pretty damm ruthless about who he stepped on to enact it.

And I was baby sitting at 5.

Wish peachfuzz was all I had. I routinely got mistaken for someone in their twenties.

Anyway, I don’t think it’s sexualizing children, it’s more people wanting anduin and wrathion to be closer than they actually were or are

Facial hair is such a weird metric to use for adulthood is all

A child and a mastermind.

A -child-

… Maybe you don’t understand that Anduin was a -child-

Reminder that ‘Age of Consent’ is meant to be against people having sexual relations with a person under said age, not between two underage persons.
Mental Maturity means nothing to it so it is utterly useless in determining issues in an interspecies relationship

Okay and? Im not the one making the claim they should be together

Aren’t you?

You are talking about Anduin here. The guy who in that same book was trying to get Garrosh to change his ways.

Pretty sure that was zerde. I just said some people want them to be closer than they actually were or are

And why would you say that? Of anything you could have said throughout this entire conversation, you chose to chime in in favor of the side defending the sexualizing of children.

Why might that be?

Except I’m not defending anything

Internet shipping culture is kinda insane

It’s considered so important, the fact that it was a rather unique rape scene is generally ignored.

As I understand it, Shatner purposely kept flubbing it until he was allowed to make full facial contactt. Nichols was a hottie after all.

I just noticed that most of the posts about “sensitive” topics were unceremoniously deleted.

I wouldn’t blow it out of proportion.

Not many folks freak out about Pebbles and Bambam having childhood affection that is teased as potential future romance. They eventually do get together, even though we meet them as babies.

I am not a big “shipper”. However, I don’t see this particular “ship” as any more harmful than others.

I’m sure he was older than that.

He was 10 during vanilla and each expansion lasts about a year ish in universe, with cata lasting 2.

So Anduin would’ve been around 15-16 during MoP.

Yup, that sounds about the age I assumed him to be. He was an adult by Legion which, if we’re assuming the default one year per expansion and go for the lowest age of “adulthood” as 18, would have him 16 in MoP, 17 in WoD, for an age of 18 in Legion.

While Wrathion’s canonical age is significantly less than that (he was literally born in Cata after all), his… Age of maturity? Whatever we wanna call it, would appear to be similar. They both appear of a similar physical age in Wrathion’s human form in BfA.

Wrathion’s aging is just plain weird tho.

One thing we do know is that Wrathion was around 2 years old chronologically by the time of patch 5.2. We don’t have the exact time wrathion was born but it was between the ending of Cata’s Badlands and before patch 4.3. Although the Red Dragonflgiht doesn’t recruit the PC rogue to find out where Wrathion (still within his egg) went after it was stolen. Which was around the events of patch 4.3. Timeline is weird. My guess is that Blizzard might consider Cata to be from the shattering up to the horde and Alliance finding Pandaria. So the AvH stuff that happened post Deathwing, such as the naval battles near Tol Barad and Taranis as still part of Cata. Even though they happened offscreen. That would also include Theramore’s Fall as well. Even though Theramore’s fall happened in the MoP Prepatch in game. And I consider things in the prepatch to be part of the upcoming expansion. So I’m willing to let Theramore’s fall to be the exception in this case.

By the time of patch 8.3, he is already a drake. Which could be considered the “teen years” for dragons. Whelp being baby / child, drake is teenager and wyrm being an adult. Most likely though on the younger side of being a drake. Considering he was still a whelp when we see him for a split second in WoD.

In comparison we have Awbee. Whom was a whelp during vanilla but is a Wyrm during WoD. Which is around 6-7 years later. I like to assume that WoD’s UBRS happened before we go through the Dark Portal lorewise.

https://wowpedia.fandom.com/wiki/Awbee

So comparing Awbee to Wrathion, I guess dragons just mature (sexually that is) a lot faster in comparison to say Humans. We don’t know when Awbee was born, but we can assume it was relatively recent. So it looks like it takes a dragon around 7-9 years give or take to go from hatchling → Whelpling → Drake → Wyrm. Based on this, Wrathion’s aging is not that far off. We do know that individuals like dragons can turn into anything and the age of their mortal form does not equal their actual age. I mean Yu’lon likes to take on the appearance of a Pandaren child even when she is near the end of her reincarnation cycle.

Which is why Wrathion likes to stress that he is “older” in dragon years. So while he might be 5-6 years old in BFA, he is probably near the early to mid teens in reality.

I’m afraid I don’t get that reference.
