As a Beast Mastery hunter, I don't want to play Night Fae, and I shouldn't be forced to

Necro is gonna be super fun once you have unity.

You clear mythic every tier and haven’t leveled up yet? Bravo

No one could be. Your post? made my head spin. Bravo!
Down with borrowed power.

Your best choice is to logout repeatedly and ask yourself the following:

do i want everybody to hate me because the wow development team are so overwhelmingly incompetent that our best legendary (the one i started using when it was NOT our best legendary according to all our sources fwiw) is heavily dependent on mastery, our weakest stat all around, and:

since all other legendary options on the bloodmallet scorecard are loosely based on our severely weak three patch nerfed and counting world’s most lousiest pet ability (kill command), why bother playing a game you can’t win because everybody hates you when you are a member of a certain race that doesn’t sit in total fear.

have a great day!

in fact, after extensive testing in all mythic dungeons at high teen levels - the De Other Side trash is the only place where mastery pulls up a bit ahead at this time, or in the recent past.

and btw, i’m not sure why ppl once thought the venthyr pouch of razor fragments was close to the wild spirits aoe, it has always been less than half of the damage they get using auto and barbed shots vs. cobras/kill shots with very low auto shots this patch, the first time i statrted using it because i knew it was bunk.

have fun wasting stat points in a dungeon where you will die if you add too much mastery to pull a bit ahead, it is akin to playing the fool’s way of buying a lottery ticket?! or something utterly ridiculous and nonsensical to the point where you refuse to re subscribe to the world’s worst video game in development that i know of. adding one single point is a net loss in the other 9 except maybe the fortified trash in GMBT depending on the psycho tank you get assigned to “randomly” in particular.

Why are you under the impression that you are forced to choose that covenant? Nothingin the game is telling you too. What might lose a little damage? Who cares… I swear damage meters have completely warped your guys perspective on the game.

You’re losing a lot of damage, actually. If you run, say, Venthyr instead of Night Fae in a M+, your gimping yourself so badly you become a burden to the group and actively reduce their ability to clear the dungeon in time.

Aside from that, BM’s current design with the tier set fits pretty badly with every covenant that isn’t Night Fae.

“Just care less” is never a good excuse for poor balancing.
