Artifact Skin for 10 RBG wins = Change to Rated Arena

Rated Battlegrounds are pretty much dead. Nobody does them or wants to do them.
Boosting communities don’t even boost RBG’s half the time. It’s not worth the effort.
Pugging RBG’s? Impossible. Usually your opponents are a premade, and you will get absolutely destroyed.

Yet one of the recolors of the Mage Tower Artifact skin recolors requires 10 WINS in Rated Battlegrounds.

Could this be changed to Rated Arena wins? This would make it atleast relatively realistic to get, but still hard enough. Perhaps require a specific rating, like 10 wins above 1k? Or increase the amount of wins needed? That way it is similar in difficulty, but atleast possible, since people do still do Rated Arena.

RBGs having a 10 win artifact appearance or 1800 for hwl/gm mog is fine.

The mode doesn’t need fewer incentives.

Are they dead because it’s 4 weeks til end of season? Or have they been dead all of DF?

I don’t think I’ve attempted an RBG since they were first released. I kind of wrote off the RBG tint as one I’d never get despite unlocking the mage tower appearances.

If youre not willing to slog through 10 rbg wins for a skin then you dont want the skin bad enough.

RBGs are usually dead except when they are vastly easier to gain rating in them vs arena. And as luck would have it, RSS is vastly “easier” to get rating than arena+RBGs. People just flow to the least resistance, cause it makes sense.

Works off the same premise as raids vs m+. Easier to coordinate groups for m+ vs raid and plus all the other positives m+ brings over weekly locked loot.

The most that should be done is the 10 RBG win condition be made account-wide provided you earned the base mage tower appearance for that artifact. Nothing more.

Yolo RBG’s are not dead and you could easily get it from that, especially with a new season starting soon. They’re also adding in the solo RBG brawl which you’ll be able to get it from as well.

Aren’t they changing RBGs soon and giving it the Solo Shuffle treatment? This is probably a problem that will solve itself soon enough.

I hope so. Trying to get a group together, let alone a group that can actually win RBGs is near impossible

I’d rather they change it to Random Battlegrounds.

For a lot of us, myself included, the character we did the mage tower on is no longer our main, or even the main of that class.

For instance, I want the purple glow kitty, but to get that, I’d have to ignore my level 70 druid, and level my level 54 druid, gear her completely, then win 10 rated bgs (or 10 arenas if you go your way).

Whereas Random BGs mean we could use those toons at any level they are currently at and earn it. Which fits much more in line with how the artifact skins are over 6 years old now.

And yes, YOU HAVE TO DO IT ON THE SAME CHARACTER THAT DID THE MAGE TOWER. So I can’t unlock the tints on my level 70 druid. I can only unlock it via my level 54 druid.

And honestly, with how unbalanced random bgs are, this still gives it the same challenge, if not MORE challenge, than rated bgs. Cause rated bgs you have a communicating group.

I’m sure we can work this out. Someone start a discord up and make groups up to Q up at the same time. Let one team win every time, then vise versa. Is it possible? Just name it Weapon Appearance RBGs or something
