Which one is good now

This could not be more vague.

If you dont know then just move on. Its a simple question.

They’re both fine.

I feel like we don’t know the answer to this question and won’t at least until the first raid tier goes underway with a significant number of logs/parses and the final build.

If you’re asking this question, and then flabbergasted when someone points out this is so vague as to be unanswerable, then answer is that for you, neither of them are good. You will have very poor results no matter what class or spec you play.

Play what you like and get good at it. Bad players can make S tier classes look bottom tier. Good players will always be good.

Vanilla or French vanilla, which one is good now?

French Vanilla. Regular is boring

Arms probably, just because the mortal strike. Everyone will pick you in Arena ,BG and so on just because they know healers will have hard time to deal with you.

Even though Fury is furious the damage is just plain, you can keep attacking on low geared healer for hours and nothing will happen, and forget about killing tanks like Guardian druid as Fury. Fury is this way because they can heal, so you give up some damage to heal, can’t have both . Hence you won’t be able to have as heavy damage other melee DPS.

Arms, Arms is scary because it can apply really heavy damage plus mortal strike, so whoever you are attacking needs to beware of that, they can’t just stand in your bladestorm because deep wounds but in Fury case no one would even move. Healers can’t just casually play like they do with Fury because they know you have Rend , deep wounds and mortal strike plus that heavy damage you deal will add up over time and they will die soon or later. Same in Arena, people prefers Arms due to mortal strike no one wants Fury spamming enraged attacks with raw damage.

Plus Arms has huge execute buff, because execute also applies bleeds, so when you take sudden death talent everytime you hit execute you apply bleeds over and over, with fury its just regular execute.

Even in 1v1 , Arms has more chance once again because all the bleeds and mortal strike, while Fury can heal it costs the low damage they deal. By the time you finish your enraged regeneration which is huge defense and healing ability with 3 minute cd they can just cc you or get away, wait until its done and thats it you are dead. While with Arms they can get away when you pop avatar for example or defense like die by sword but the bleeds will deal damage still, and with mortal strike.

Just understand that Arms can’t last long, not even close to Fury in fights but so does the enemy of yours.

I just wrote this from my experience, there are elite warriors who play Fury and so on yet Arms is better pick. In the end its really on you what you like.

This is R1 warrior explaining warrior as class and Arms as spec, in SL we won’t need the heart of azeroth so ignore that part.

I will admit, things like “deep wounds is reduced by 25% in PvP” and “crit is reduced in PvP to 150%” are things I didn’t know.

Why do they keep all of this massively impactful data behind secretive walls without tooltips? Bajheera may not be the end-all of everything, but how often do people actually mention the behind the scenes mods in PvP?

I didn’t even realize what dampening was until I started watching my debuffs carefully in arenas, which isn’t an easy thing to do during an arena match.

That and the hidden tank debuffs and hidden mods for crowd control. Talk about obnoxious. And of course the famous Mortal Strike 25% debuff mod in PvP, or the Defensive Stance -20% outgoing damage PvP mod.

Put things in tooltips, people. My character pane only has like ten lines now and says absolutely nothing. My parry and dodge chances aren’t even listed in DPS spec. I had to get a damn add-on just to see my dodge and parry chance, and my guildies at the time tried to tell me DPS don’t have parry and dodge now (not true, it turns out). What are they doing to this game. It’s a game highly based around stats, half of which they hide because they’re trying to be sneaky.

Then the ridiculous PvP scaling system that they suddenly removed, drastically changing PvP numbers for most players and making people who were able to PvP at low gear levels previously hilariously outclassed. And they tanked base PvP drop item levels to the point where anyone who was not already mythic + or conquest geared an absolute clown in pre-patch arena at exactly the time people are testing new classes, specs, and alts to try to decide their main in Shadowlands…

I really am getting tired of them monkeying with major class abilities and core mechanics without any transparency beyond a blue post on Wowhead.

Yes because an 8.2 Arms warrior is equivalent to pre-patch and shadowlands Arms. /s

I just watched SL Bajheera guide and he says now mastery also increases damage enemy takes by you, not only deep wounds but also damage they take from you.

Go to 9:45 if you want to jump that part.

Didn’t you say you were leaving the game? What’s the hold up?

I agree wholeheartedly, I like arms and fury.

This has been known pretty much since they made the change.

I haven’t checked much, still waiting for SL to finish everything up. Never know maybe they will change things before SL drops. The spell reflection nerf is pretty bad, he said it right when he says if some pet does spell on you it will reflect and you will eat entire chaos bolt you tried to reflect .

…yes.

That’s literally what it’s been since pretty much the first build, many months ago.
