My armory and that of many of my friends, they do not update at all. This toon has been level 80 for a while now. Stuck showing as 70 for almost a month, then shows as 73 now.
And many of my friends see their armories linked as error 500s even while currently active. No one from Blizz ever sees these complaints about our armories on the GD threads so I brought it over here so someone would. More often than not our armory will glitch to show nothing at all, or to show wrong level in classic and even when it does show the right level, it shows the wrong gear that we used to have almost a month ago on and will also show as being in the wrong guild as well.
Tried the whole log in and out, reset all of that. These are things that were not a wide spread problem in the past but they are right now. It will sometimes auto fix to give us a good view of our toons, but then will glitch again soon after.
Needs fixed. Posting this in GD has been done before by players. It gets ignored there.
It also gets ignored here. Customer Support has no involvement in that regard, and I would also edit your topic to remove “blue.” They frown upon that here.
You’ll want to edit your post and move it to the Website Bug Report forum if you want it seen by the people that stand a chance of correcting things.
So no matter where anyone posts it, it will not be looked at. AND submitted it as a bug report last years as well. Our armories used to update. It shows one of my toons with no gear sets, no legos in retail too. And shows a paladin as being level 60 for almost 4 months now when it has ben 70 that entire time.
There is nothing they can do from here. The website kind of has a mind of it’s own, unfortunately.
When it comes right down to it, the websites that pull the data from the armories are third-party websites. They are not impeding you from playing the game. Now, Blizzard cannot dictate how people require these third-party websites for recruiting groups and whatnot, but technically speaking - on Blizzard’s side of things nothing is technically broken. Not having an updated armory is not keeping you from playing the game as Blizzard created it to be played.
Untrue. Just because there isn’t a response from posting on GD or the Website Bug Forum does not mean that it’s not being seen. It’s just especially not being seen here. This is literally the only forum that no staff comes to save for our SFAs, and they do not maintain the website itself.
Now, this part is pure conjecture on my part - but considering all of the other things that really demand attention (i.e. the Classic locked servers, real game-breaking issues, the tremendous backlog of tickets for the gamut of billing, account and in-game issues, etc.), I would imagine they’re triaging things at this point. What third-party websites operate on and that isn’t directly interfering with their gameplay on their side of things in comparison to the rest that really is impeding gameplay? I know which issues I would be focusing on. But then, I don’t work for Blizzard. So there is that.
Actually, the larger issue that old had been fixed and the armories were updating with some regularity. And that issue was really hinging on those who had character services performed for the most part. Now and again there may be the oddball character armory that wouldn’t update but since that last issue, a quick log out and back in or password change would usually give the system the kick it needed.
Hopefully it is something on the table and easy to get fixed for you guys. Time and hotfixes will tell.
The Armory has always acted that way. There has always been an issue with it updating. Name changes, guild changes, faction changes, race changes, completed dungeons/raids. They have all had problems updating. Sometimes logging in and out of the character a few times will fix it. Sometimes a password changes fixes it. Sometimes maintenance will. Sometimes it was months before it updates, although I don’t think that’s happened recently.
The official worldofwarcraft.com armory updates best if you log out instead of exit game. If you exit game everytime, its the reason why it doesnt update.
I kind of have an issue with armory not updating also, but it’s account wide achievements. Like my paladin shows like 80% or something of collections/pet battle achievements. But my dk, I didn’t get them on but shows completed, shows like 15% complete. Rather annoying after swapping mains. Only the account wide stuff tho
