Its too early for BC. Will need at least a year of Classic to see where everyone stands.

The ONLY way iād be remotely ok with BC is if they did it on separate servers. It would make classic obsolete and all of the hard work from classic would mean nothing. I donāt see them offing classic like that. Vanilla wow is my fav mmo and iām enjoying classic almost as much as I enjoyed the game 15 yrs ago.
Why would it make classic obsolete? To have servers that progress through the expansions and then reset back to vanilla to let people do it again. And again.
Warning: it may always be a bugged piece of garbage (in your opinion). Meanwhile several million people are playing it (despite your opinion).
Has Blizzard ever promised that Classic would be a ābug-freeā version of Vanilla? If they did I missed it. I donāt think they promised this.

You can do that right now in retail WoW. You always could.
IMHO retail at low levels is better than Classic. Same zones, same levels.
Iām an altoholic, so Iāve leveled more than 30 toons in retail (all races, all starter areas more than once). In Classic, I have 6 classes above level 12 (all races, starter areas, 1st and 2d zones).
The ONLY way that Classic is better is that it is crowded: lots of other low-level characters around me, instead of āalmost everyone is 110+ā.
Yes! UO was the best MMO in history. We also need house space incorporated in future expansion zones.

By comparison, WoW PvP servers are hardcore RP servers. These dudes donāt even know what itās like to play a PvP based MMO.
Part of the issue with getting rolled that we have the trash layer system and too many players per server. You get rolled on one layer, you move to another layer. At least people would be able to have a fighting chance to take a town back if everyone were on the same damn layer.
And, as far as getting rolled goes, like many other things, the guard system would need to be tweaked.

If they force the classic servers over to TBC I unsub and never look back.I dont mind them making a TBC dedicated server but leave classic aloneā¦what you afraid that if they made tbc servers no one would want to go over to play it with you so you have to try and convince them to force classic over to them??? if its such a better game you should have no fear of them making it its own server.

TBC started most of the things people hate about WoW now.
The majority of people that think TBC is a good expansion, started in TBC.

So youāre saying that if I start a night elf in retail right now, I will have the exact same story and experience as I would in classic? Cataclysm didnāt change the world and quests and story at all? Burning the world tree in BFA didnāt change the world or quests at all?? Because thatās what Iām interested in. The lore of the world. The story of the world of Warcraft from beginning to end. Iāve even been playing the old RTS games. So youāre saying if I jumped right to retail after this that Iād eat to experience all the lore of every single expansion no changes???
I hated TBC due to the focus and balance around Arena.
Which again is what I want. I want classic to be a stepping stone to retail for people. Away to level a character to retail the slow way one expansion at a time. Then Transfer the character to Retail, and restart the server to do it again.
Or we can just have different servers at different expansions, and Iāll transfer my character around until I reach max level then move on to retail. I donāt really care which, but this idea that the only way to give #Nochanges fans what they want is to give no one else what they want is absurd to me. And thatās not a particularly good negotiating tactic.

Character copy to TBC when it comes out in a few years.
Classic folks still get Classic, folks who want progression get TBC AND/OR Classic. How is this not the best of both worlds?

And yet THIS is absurd to me and many othersā¦Classic and any other expansions that are to be released should be dedicated servers completely closed off from retailā¦thereās a REASON we donāt want to play retail anymore and asked Blizzard for this.
