Arfus is the ghostly version of https://www.wowhead.com/npc=208643/tobias with little spikes on his collar, whereas Tobias doesn’t, but Tobias’ icon does…the mystery continues!
an add-on called Livestock automatically calls your preferred pet. you get to choose any pets(s) you want added to the list.
it also lets you assign mounts, flying/walking/swimming, all depending on context.
it will automatically call one of the dragon-flying mounts if you are in a DF zone (if you want… else for now it will call a ground mount.)
heck it even lets you choose a 2-person mount if you’re in a party or grouped.
I do think a bad luck protection would be good design and welcome

I’ve gotten they key but I’ve had the mount for ages so I don’t need that. haven’t seen anyone get the pet, and I haven’t gotten another sword or helm this year. Have only made 10 or so attempts but will make a few more since I have a few alts that could use the rings still. Still think all the holiday mounts should just be on the vendors for a large chunk of the currencyso peeps don’t have to be so depressed.

i think all items in the game should just be 100% drop rate. who cares. let people enjoy the content.
They don’t have to make it 100% but at least let us earn it gradually with tricky treats. I don’t have anything left to do with those treats.

So it seems that the Mount has an increased drop chance once per day per account, but not the same for the pet.
The pet seems to be a raw farm, throw as many toons as possible at it, and get the curses.
Welp, 75 attempts now and still no Arfus. I think that poster in wowhead is completely spot on. This isn’t fun or enjoyable and if, BIG IF, Arfus does drop, I won’t feel happy, I’ll feel relieved I got it before the event ended and I no longer have to do the boss, hopefully ever again as I’ve grown to hate it over this holiday. Blizzard wonders why they have such awful player retention as expansions progress. I don’t know, maybe make your game actually fun and not a headache or chore to play. You folks have only had darn near 20 years to figure this out!

The boss should just drop candy and you go use that boss candy to buy Arfus and the mount. And other items.
Make it is a vendor purchase with candy. That way everyone can have the holiday items.

I did the fight like 30 times and I didn’t get anything of value on subsequent daily kills. I ended up getting the mount and pet from the same pumpkin on my first kill yesterday.
Please fix the Arfus drop chance / add it to the vendor. Can’t believe the drop chance is so low…

20 toons a day, from day 1, and still no dog, hard mode, not hard mode, got the key, got the glyph, bu no damn DOG yet,

Asking for Blizz to please up the droprate of Arfus before the event ends. I think it’s pretty bad whoever made the decision a new holiday pet should be so hard to get for some.

If you die you lose the curses. You get hit with a stun Instead and get full hp back. You need to actually pass the Hardmode to get the extra rewards.

you might already know this, but just in case you need help with the fight itself:
Don’t stand in purple circles during Pumpkin Breath (or the breath if possible because it hits pretty hard). If your a ranged class, you can stand at max range and the breath will miss you
Don’t stand in the bigger purple circles that appear under you every few seconds,
Kill the clone of yourself after the Insideous Cackle (the big purple circle on everyone) before it reaches the fire or it explodes
During Hot Head (fire patches) walk into the big purple ball (it has a yellow glow and an arrow above it) or it explodes.
Failure to do these mechanics gives you a 10% HP reduction, and 10 stacks of the HP debuff, or dying will remove your curse
Circles apply 1 stack while the orb and the clone apply 2 stacks.
Has anyone else besides me not gotten any of the rare items yet (mount, pet, or drake skin) despite having beaten the Headless Horseman with all four curses active on multiple toons every day since the event began?
I was also thinking that either these rewards should be offered for a high amount of tricky treats, or there should be some kind of bad luck protection that accumulates. It is going to feel really bad if this event ends and I have nothing to show for all the hours of queueing. Meanwhile, some players claim to have gotten all 3 rare items on their very first kill.
RNG will be random, I got the DR skin and the key on the same attempt. But no trace of the doggo 
, and that’s what I want.

Hey sorry super big noob here. Is Arfus only dropped once per character per day or can I run it a bunch on one guy?
Do it on a tank or healer alt.
