I saw its wowhead droprate and decided it was not worth it to log on for a mediocre chance at a transparent dog pet

Congrats. I’ve run the event about 80 times now and no pet. I gave up.

This doesn’t appeal to me.
Mostly because I don’t like Blizzards pet system, it’s not that great. Having to re-summon my pets every time I teleport, enter a new zone, move too fast or fly somewhere is terrible design and needs to be overhauled.
The game needs to treat pet summoning like a passive, semi-invisible buff that persists throughout a play through or longer. Summon a pet and it will be at your side, if the game detects that the pet is not at your side it will be re-summoned automatically, and this would hopefully include when we log in.
Doing this would allow our pets to be a greater part of our identity instead of a mindless sprite that follows us around and has to be re-summoned every two minutes.

Pet persistence and the persistence of augmentations on them (e.g. pet biscuit) is an issue for sure.

Once again Hearthstone delivers!
I feel for mount collectors since usually the hardest to obtain/non-tradeable items seem to be mounts from the holidays. As a pet collector, I’m feeling so sad and disheartened/yuck game feels by Arfus not dropping (first run, all curses…12 more alts each day etc). Currently in 30+ min queue on dps (hunter) for today…tanks next. Sigh… I’ve enjoyed zero anything else from this holiday as I sit in queues and use all my game time for…nada. (I did help put out fires once on a 3rd druid tank trying to get to 60 for another most likely, failed attempt at the pet) I dread holidays instead of enjoying them when rng drops are a part of it.

About half way through my 13 attempts today, still no sign of Arfus. Sat in queue for almost an hour on my DH until I finally said the heck with it and requeued at tank.

I got both on the same kill a few days ago.
Still no key though.
Now up to 65 HM attempts, still no Arfus. What a colossal waste of time this has been and will continue to be. 10/10 design Blizzard.

Let me siphon some of that luck!
If you somehow get hit by 10 avoidable things, it will say you failed hardmode and won’t get the higher chance of getting goodies from the loot-filled pumpkin.
