If the event is indeed fun, it should be its own reward. You know what you were getting yourself into when you started playing an RPG. RNG is all part of the game.

To a point yes. But lets get real sub 1% drop rate is almost worse then winning a jackpot on a casino slot machine.

This is the only way to keep non competitive player play this game. If you donât do keys, raids and PvP on high level there is not much to do.
Even professions were time gates with reputation. They canât and WILL NOT create content you work for.
Iâm not sure , if someone know please correct me, the new Legendary axe quest requires you to do normal raids at least. You canât do LFR to get the items.
It really shouldnât be. Back in 2016 when I got Invincible and Mimâs Head, 1% items routinely dropped at 150 attempts. Itâs only in the last 4-5 years that a 2% drop takes 200 pulls and a 1% takes 400.
Iâd understand if it was just my last few white whales that had bad luck, but it is everything for me now. I literally knew I wouldnât get Arfus but I did my 220+ attempts anyway.

On wowhead Arfus drop rate is 1.1% 164 out of 14,764 chance.
