Arena season 1 should have its own phase, so those that like to do both raiding and pvp can focus on their rep grinding and gearing out for their guild first before dedicating all their free time to pushing rank.
You could craft the weapon while you work on your armor. The 2 handed mace has a nice stun proc, too.
