Please take note of this it’s super important for the TBC community. P1 S1, and make sure the seasons are aligned with the pve gear. no t3 in s2.

I agree the arena sets need to be aligned with the tier phases, but cmon, people will play with very few pvp pieces? Lol good luck, hey I encourage you to :innocent:. You can get 400resil np with s2 gear.

how has this not came up in the q&a yet?

Yup, agreed.

They could even simply make Phase 1 last 1 month longer than normal for the leveling phase, and then after 1 month of TBC the Arena season can start.

It accomplishes the goals of making it possible to have a reasonable size player pool and keeps it in phase 1

wow so its not an error and its something they are really considering…
they believe its on par with t5 gear

They pretty much just confirmed this is what they’re doing

As another point, look at the cosmetics of arena gear and Tier gear.

S1 gear looks like Tier 5
S2 gear looks like Tier 5
S3 gear looks like Tier 6
S4 gear looks like Sunwell gear

This is the intended progression as originally designed. I’m hopeful Blizzard realizes this and changes the phases. They listened to feedback and changed Classic phases, let’s do the same for TBC Classic please.

During their Q & A, they admit the error in their original scheduled plan and are going to be shifting the arena seasons “earlier”. Leaving “Zul’aman” (I believe) it’s own…phase, if you will…

yep

they changed it !

Its not confirmed yet right? says “may”.

Need to keep this thread up

You can’t get weapons easily, those require a pretty high rating. Pvp gear stats do suck for pve.

Can we please get a blue post on this topic. All of the seasons need to be dropped back by 1 phase except for season four. ZA phase should be similar to how DM as released in Classic being a .5 phase midway through phase 3 (ZA= phase 3.5/4)

You know they clarified this on day 2 Arena season one is going to be with phase 1.

And arena season 2 is going to be with Phase 2.

And so on So you don’t need to worry it’s going to be in there

Phase 1 - Kara/Gruul/Mag open with Season 1 Arena
Phase 2 - SSC/KT Should open 2-4 weeks before Season 2 Arena
Phase 3 - BT/MH open with Season 3 Arena
Phase 4 - ZA opens. Maybe Season 4 Arena should start 2 weeks before Sunwell.
Phase 5 - Sunwell opens with Season 4 Arena or 2 weeks after Season 4.

The reason is because each Arena season needs to be 3-4 Month per season but I believe Phase 1 and Phase 4 Raid content should be shorter than other phases or people will get bored of waiting for new contents.

Phase 1 for tbc isn’t the same as vanilla because we are only lvling from 60 to 70 instead of 1 to 60. Phase 1 has to be shorter without ruining the arena seasons too much.

dude i use discord to read ur wall of text and i dont know what to say.

Other than i dont know but i remember mace being biss in arena

10000000% Agreed and accurate.

Arena weapons = BIS per tier. Promotes more arena gameplay as well as for those who do not want to PvP gives them a higher change in your raid to acquire raid weapons as others will go for Arena weapons. Arena season weapons are pretty much BIS for every single tier for all the classes really. Minus rogues/wars come glaives.

Yeah, it hasn’t been confirmed so far

any link to this?

Man all you guys worried about glaive rogues in arena talking like those buggers drop at a 50% drop rate. You do realize they are still super rare on retail, I’m pretty sure they had a less than 4% drop rate and you only got one shot at them per week. First off Illidan will be a barrier and was extremely hard and thinking that guilds are going to have BT on clear within the first few weeks is absurd on top of that thinking that even the top guilds with their 2 rogues max are even going to be lucky enough to have both the main hand and off hand drop in that time frame is silly. You’ll see a very small amount of rogues if any rolling double glaive in arenas in Season 2 or even by the end of Sunwell.
