With the release of Season of Discovery, it has become even more clear to me that the state of arena doesn’t feel good at the moment… I’d much rather play Season of Discovery or literally any other game than go through solo shuffle or 3’s.
Now, I’m playing a non-meta class (shadow priest), non-meta comps and I’m not a rank 1 glad or a multiglad so all of you weenies will probably roll up in your baller wagon and shame me for complaining and tell me I’m not allowed to have an opionion.
But I have an opinion and I’m going to voice it anyway.
Right now, state of arena just doesn’t feel good at all. There’s too many oneshot builds, that are just making the game less fun. The queues for shuffle are still poor, imagine waiting 60 minutes in a queue to get into a match with a frost mage who goes 6-0 because he will literally oneshot somebody out of sealth in the first minute of the round.
Most of the time, it’s Blade’s Edge Arena too… a map with poor design. It was removed briefly and I just don’t get why they put it back in the game.
At the moment in 3’s, unless you’re rolling one of the god-comps with the S tier classes, you’re bound to lose. Even on low ratings (1500-2000 bracket).
Now, every start of the season starts rocky in my experience. But if you consider the fact that it happens every season, you’d think Blizzard would find a way to finetune it in the first week? The patch-notes don’t even make a lot of sense, most of the time. The classes that’re performing REALLY well will usually not even get nerfs. While those who don’t perform well… they do get nerfs? Lol.
Post is probably not going to get Blizzards attention, just the attention of haters who’re going to hate as usual on the forums. ‘reee you mentioned frost mage oneshot build reee don’t touch my build reee’. But I wanted to have it said anyway.
So basically you’re saying this game, unlike other games is difficult for noobs.
Have fun getting classes nerfed because you don’t use defensive or your teammates don’t dispel.
Are you looking to turn wow into a moba?
Sure I pop off on my frost mage and kill people fast, but they have to be bad. They basically have to ignore me free casting on them, while their healer has poor positioning, while no one is dispelling frostbomb.
Sure if those stars align I can easily 6 - 0 a lobby of that caliber, but so can I on all my other classes…
Replying to you really isn’t going to matter, judging your one and only post I’m going to assume (just like you assumed things about me) that you’re one salty willy.
Either way, defensives were used. It just doesn’t matter. Some classes burst straight through that.
Personally believe the high amount of utility every class has is bad for PvP… classes used to have their own utility and identity until people started to complain. I had hoped that the talent trees would force you to choose between big damage and less utility, or less damage but more utility. Instead it just gave classes both.
But what can I say… you’re a DH player. You thrive on rolling your face across the keyboard and winning. You literally have 3 buttons only. You’re not struggling with button bloat and you don’t care if anybody has utility because you’ll just burst through it ezpz.
Theres more than 3 buttons if played right. But yes, Mage has a ton of buttons nowadays. I wish fire was better than frost. having to cast all your spells minus Lance doesnt help with the amount of cc, kicks stuns.
I main mage and dh, play them both equally and know much more about mage than you I’m sure. Mage only one shots that quick into the game if the enemy team is terrible full stop
Blades edge returning to the game even in the face of feedback makes me sad. No commentary from blizzard, leads me to think either it was just totally forgotten about, or its a middle finger to the community feedback.
