Will Blizzard give us any sort of explanation or roadmap to a fix for this? Likely not…but this has been an ongoing thing since TWW launched.
This has affected our guild raid progression 3 weeks in a row now.
At least some sort of acknowledgment of the issue would be appreciated. Unexpected downtime on a game that requires a subscription should warrant that at least right? It is increasingly concerning when you see your server is the only server offline.
Area 52 has been crashing between 8p-9p EST every Tuesday night, for the last 3 weeks in a row.
Logging back in after the server comes up is met with “Character not found” issues, “Unable to authenticate” errors, and disappearing character lists over and over for 15-20 minutes.
This is absolutely wild. Not a single peep from Blizzard about the problem, expected ETA on fixes, plans for hardware migration, nothing. This has hindered our guild progress as well and it’s about to make all of us transfer off of Area 52. Is Blizzard going to give us free character transfers? Do they even know what’s going on?
They probably want us to fork over the $$$ for the transfers. The sheer lack of communication from Blizz on this is very off-putting.
To have it happen once after maintenance is one thing, but this is the third week in a row we’ve had this problem, exclusively on Area 52. Please help us out.
all character not found
same here. frustrating for sure
Agreed to all of the above. All servers appear to be functional but A52.
I sent in a ticket today as this has been every single week since launch multiple times a week and only to area52. And its honestly making many of us really mad. So sick of having M+ runs and raid affected by this with absolutely no feedback or answers!!
I asked for a free realm transfer for me and my guild to get us the hell off this broken server. And was told no they dont do that.
There reply was: “while we understand your current position and would love to be able to help you out. Customer support is no longer able to grant free services such as transfers to other realms. These were only available for a limited time and only for certain accounts who met the required critera.
At this time customer support is unable to provide further comments on this subject or provide any further assistance.”
No were working on a fix, no were sorry, no answer as to why area52 keeps going down when all the other realms stay up. Yes we are high pop but so are tons of other guilds that are not having these issues. Blizzard fix your game!
I have to bring this out from time to time, only because this is something outside of gm staffs abilities. Opening tickets would unfortunately not help.
I do know from posts from SFA agents that developers and server teams are working on a fix in the meantime.
