I’m getting errors with “A character with that name already exists”. In a group with a friend on area 52, we can’t interact with the world etc. Got disconnected and can’t get back in.
Might be related to this bug in EU forums? If you trade you can’t interact with thte world anymore:

What that normally means is you left the game through a means other than normal logout and the character is still actually present in the world.
They should autolog within 5-10 min or so. Sometimes logging into another character on the same realm can force the first one off, but that isn’t always guaranteed.
