Serious question. Are you working right now? From home, or are you essential? Furloughed or unemployed by choice?
I’m WFH. I got a new job as this pandemic started. My first day at work lasted 2 hours, after which they sent every Microsoft employee home.
2 weeks later, they sent me my fulltime paycheck. That was dope. Now we’re trained in WFH and I’m the person on the other side of tech support chat boxes. I’m on the forums while I wait for a chat response. I have actually no idea what my real job is like because I haven’t ever done it, but I’m being paid like I am.
Had I stayed at my old job, I would be furloughed. I got out just in time. I am very grateful; I know others are not so fortunate. I can imagine some had to let their sub lapse.

On my lunch break atm. I work until 11 eastern . Work IT Help Desk for a hospital.
And I’m working from home. So, I’ll either keep browning the forums between calls or pop in a movie.

I’m sort of both. I work in IT support but not a call desk. We do all of the stuff that requires you to actually be there (eg. install hardware, fix stuff that can’t be done remotely).
They’re starting to open the place back up so they’ve got us doing training most days at home and then we’re on a rotation to come in so there’s some coverage.

This is a full-time job in itself.

Unemployed, not by choice.
Well…technically “employed” in the sense that I do take art commissions, and am still working on a book I intend to publish, but neither have earned me anything(yet.)

I’ve been working the whole time. Some of my fellow employees got 2 months off with full pay…
Game designer working for a virtual office. We’ve all always worked from home so it’s business as usual for us.

there are millions of people who lost their jobs and it makes me feel sad and angry to be so impotent in the face of it all

My BA was in game design. Met my spouse there in college.
My country is pretty much back to normal. Like 22 people died and we have 1 person with covid who isn’t even in hospital.
Turns out listening to scientists works. Idk what you Americans think your doing opening back up
. Many more people going to die but your country doesn’t seem to care.

i work as a paid intern now, but I used to work at a retirement home 11 to 7
i really liked it there but i hated the schedule, and i couldn’t change it any time soon
Been back at work since we exited level 4. I really did enjoy those 5 weeks of mostly not working.

That’s a weird situation. Things are normal for you when you know the rest of the world is so different.
Good luck with reopening. Are you scared?
I work for a non-profit and I think a lot of us were sort of worried, because many in the Boston area aren’t making it. But we’re a trade group, and our sector (energy) is doing well at this point so revenue from members and sponsors is so far unfazed. But I am WFH for the most part. I occasionally go in to check the mail.

Not really. If I get it, it won’t be from work. It’ll be from family if anything.
Trust me, we’re not happy with it, either.
Americans just decided the pandemic was boring and they were cancelling it. I am not going out for months.
