With all the negative post out there at the moment for various decent reasons? I figured Id make a positive thread with one question in mind.
How many of you are staying no matter what? I have been here since 2005. Blizzard will literally have to shut the game down and kick me out of my chair.
Hell or High Water

Probably not going to hang around, at least not in the short term. Current content doesn’t appeal and both the company and community are at toxicity levels that make Chernobyl seem mild by comparison.
Nothing says I might not come back at some point, but I’m probably leaving soon.

I don’t know about “no matter what” but I’ll play until it’s not fun for me anymore, and then I’ll find something better to do with my time than trolling the forums of a game I no longer play.
A novel concept for half the people here, I know.

I’ll be sticking around as long as my friends and I are having fun. We’re not world-first raiders or ultra-high key pushers but we do enjoy doing things together. We’ve just started Mythic Sanctum and are on the cusp of pushing keys in the high teens.
I’m puzzled at the agenda of all the negative players in the game. I get that people are unhappy with the game for one or more reasons. But these players are dogmatic about how they feel and it seems like they won’t rest until the game is burned to the ground. It’s unfortunate because there are some of us who are still having a great time.

I’m going to continue to play until I am no longer having fun and there’s nothing else in the game that I want to do. Or until it shuts down, whichever comes first.
I struggled a bit during Season 1 sorting out what I want to do going forward and what I don’t want to do. Now that I’ve gotten that figured out, I’m having fun doing what I want.
Right now, even if Blizzard came out today and said that they were freezing the game as it is today and adding nothing new for the foreseeable future, I would still have years’ worth of content ahead of me.
So I’m good for now.

I really miss my warrior, but I can’t in good conscience return until Blizzard truly gets their house in order wrt the scandal. I want to come back. I love the game. But I had to put my money where my mouth is.

Game hasn’t been fun for a while, but the company scandals and toxicity, the appalling story beats of 9.1, the half-measure hotfixes from the last few weeks (that scream of damage control), my guildies being wangrods, and FFXIV have finally driven me to unsubscribe.
Sub doesn’t end until Aug 31 but after logging in to do weekly reset chores, and spending an entire raid night wishing I was doing literally anything else with my evening, it finally clicked for me. Won’t be logging in again.
The true moment of realization was getting the mount from the Nine, and my guild asking me why I didn’t have the Flawless Torghast recolor yet. Apparently, “Torghast is not fun, and just because it’s easy doesn’t mean I’ll force myself through it” is not a compelling justification. At once it was like a veil lifted from my eyes. I logged out well before the scheduled end of raid time and went to sleep. Now I wonder if my guildies will ever have a similar revelation, since very few of them appear ro be having genuine fun with this game.

I might stick my head in the door but I don’t think I’ll be sampling any flavoring unless there some major re-hauls across the board.
I just don’t see Blizzard doing that unless they gave the game to the players in a way to let us produce content for it, through a steam workshop alike deal.

I probably will take some sort of break. … At some point.
Things are tedious and boring for me at the moment. I stopped doing Kothria dailies a couple weeks ago, felt stupid and pointless. Now I only do the bare minimum in M+ to keep my raid roster spot.
I don’t know.
FF14 doesn’t appeal to me- didn’t grow up playing FF games, nor do I care for the Korean-MMO-esque art and looks. Not interested in starting over in some other MMO like ESO or whatever other new upcoming MMO like New World or Lost Ark, let alone pay for another subscription.
So I guess I’ll stick with what I know I normally like. I may take a break but I don’t think I’ll be going elsewhere in terms of MMOs- I’ll probably catch up on some games sitting in my Steam backlog or some sh!t.
Basically, I’m here for the moment but I’m mentally checked out. The lack of compelling gameplay and stupidity of story/lore does no favors to anything.

Wow isn’t “another video game in a long list of video games I play and I’ll leave if there’s a game I think is better” I am a resident of Azeroth, I’ll always be here
Anyone leaving please be sure to stop by Kaurmine’s Gold, Mats and Battle Pets Wagon to leave your goods in appropriate hands

No, since I have run out of stuff that I am interested in doing.
At this point, I consider WoW to be a “vacation game” where I get away from other things… so eventually I will take a break from those other things again and show up for another vacation.
I am currently burning off the last two weeks of my sub and tying up loose ends.

Begone, you overgrown Goblin. Lol
My decision to stay or go will be purely based on whether I’m having fun, which largely depends on whether I have people to play with. So far my guild is holding together and we’re still enjoying ourselves.

Eh… I play enough to justify 14 bucks. I could hiccup and 15 would fall out of my pocket… so 14 to have it around when I want to pass the time… why not.
