To clarify, I don’t want meta to return to the warlock, we have enough whit the fury warrior and his “Reckless Abandon”, if they give Meta to the warlock, the DH will lose what little identity he has left.
With that said, what I want him to return to the warlock, he is the Destro from MoP XD

Please don’t change much! It took me awhile to rebalance after Nether-Portal stopped being useful for me, and I bent the knee and started using Dreadstalkers to be more useful! I stuck by my Wrathguard at least to retain that semblance that the character was still mine and fun and not compromising to push keys…

Just bring back, Dark Apotheosis it was/is pretty much everything anti DH in all aspects; more so if combo’ed with glyph of harvest life and shadow bolt volley.
Hit up a Forge and boost MultiStrike + Haste; Queue for randoms, find alone targets and with CB spam in randoms was great, watching pallies clench up to seeing a barrage smiles flying towards em from a singular cast.

Chaos damage has been 
for years! Not only for Warlock, for DHs to! what tha heck is the the purpose of chaos damage if not to overcome the opponent’s defenses?!?! chaos damage today it’s just one more magic damage, nothing special, even less than that for DH.

Don’t worry, we still use green “fel” fire and a lot of our attacks still use fire damage instead of chaos… really helps to have mastery eh?

What’s happening tomorrow for warlocks?
Needs to be Doomguard. New Ritual of Doom can be a capstone talent.
For fun: Have it sacrifice a target (not random) ally when summoning, and make it able to attack friendly targets (while still being fully controllable by the warlock) so I can sacrifice noobs in the Valley of Trials to attack the quest givers.
Give it all the random evil chaos of the old vanilla version, but with all the modern QoL updates we’ve come to expect. 
This is the Way.
EDIT: In related news:
New capstone talent: Fel Revenge. Instantly kills target Demon Hunter (friend or foe) to transform into old Metamorphosis for 45 seconds.

The release isn’t until December. For me, what happens tomorrow is meaningless. I don’t serve as an unpaid product tester. I expect those who do to ID bugs and problems, then report them accordingly.
Hate to break it to you but wow is more fast-paced now. Affliction will never work outside of raid bosses.
Nah trash packs take several minutes to kill so affliction will be fine.
More fast paced than BC/pre-BC? Sure.
More fast paced than Legion? Doubt it, and that’s basically the time frame he was referencing.
Affliction in Legion was so satisfying to play, PvE or PvP.
