If there’s a viable build that gives us pre-BfA affliction, I’ll be happy. If not, it’ll remain a dead spec to me. As long as the other two are in decent shape, I’ll keep playing.
For affliction, i would love to see the thing from the Legion artifact weapon that made dying mobs do a small amount of AOE damage to nearby mobs, it was amazing for doing old content, i’d also see the corruption slow legendary trait thrown into the tree, maybe even something to get siphon life back into corruption too?
Mostly i want affliction to get some oomph back into its dots, they hit like wet noodles right now
Afflictions never gunna have good DoTS until Blizzard realizes that Affliction shouldn’t be good at single target.
Which is why we’ve had our DoT damage funnelled through DoT Amps. It allows Blizzard to balance out multidotting and then twiddle those amps to get the ST where they want, or vice versa.
Blizzard should make the most of Pure design and say “yeah, Affliction blows chunks ST, but when you’ve got 3+ targets you WANT to bring it”.
Other than that. I neither know what I want, or what I don’t want (in regards to the overall picture). I just know I want to see it so I can form an opinion.
I’d love all specs to actually use Corruption, opposed to Demo/Destro having it but literally not even wanting it on their bars.
I will say based off the Datamining, I love the Inquisitors Eyes thing, and the Soul Cage looks like it could make M+ fun for Aff. I see nothing of concern, yet.
Ultimately, I’m trying to decide between Lock and Hunter for my DF main. And I’m pretty impressed with the Hunter trees now that they’ve been revised 500 times.
