I played horde pvp my first time around. I’m older and wiser these days. I’ll be playing alliance pve for sure.

If there weren’t dishonorable kills I’d lean towards a pvp server. And phase 2 will be glorious, but short-lived. Once dhks go in, world pvp is dead, city raids are dead and all that’s left is 60s ganking lowbies.

Likely PVE for my main. My husband and I spent a good majority of our time playing WoW on a PVP server, but we’re not 20 something anymore, we have kids, I’m pregnant and we go afk randomly in the open world. I also want to really focus on the experience of leveling, professions and doing things I didn’t finish or get to focus on in original vanilla (without looking behind my back constantly). :woman_shrugging:

Don’t feel too sad for us – we won’t have sharding. PvP servers likely will.

I’ll be going PvE. I prefer the real PvP on PvE servers.

Some of these folks think PvP is ganking lowbies and all that. Nah, that’s player against player. PaP, not PvP.

Versus implies equality. A lvl 35 or w/e is not equal to a 60. Or a 45 to a 19 etc… So it becomes an attack against a player, not versus a player.

We say the war against terror, not versus (because one side is lvl 60 and the other is lvl 27)
We say Eagles versus Patriots, not against (because they are essentially the same thing as both are lvl 60)
etc…

So when WPvP goes down on a PvE server it is usually deliberate and usually between equals. Real fun stuff. Real PvP.

PvP servers have too much player against player for my taste. To many PaP folks. But as always, to each their own.

I will play PvP IF the server population is balanced. Otherwise it is a waste of time.

I got forced onto many a pvp server back in the day because overwhelmingly my RL friends preferred it. I still don’t see the allure. Everything epic in WPvP I’ve seen on a PvE server, and WPvP is more like a team of gankers who leaves as soon as just one of them dies once.

That said I’ll be going RP, as I’ve just found it a better community to my liking, and I’ve been very happy there over the years (though Sisters is a ghost town now, and what chatter we do get is trolling from CRZ Cenarion Circle).

Pvp servers for sure, even I haven’t do pvp for years but that’s part of the experience

I’m actually a carebear normally but I want to challenge myself and I feel i’ll have a better experience overall.

Rp-PvP is another option though. I actually want to do that but until blizzard gives the ok its PvP.
