Same here, debating on which one. Of course, I could be surprised and have a bunch of old acquaintances turn up and declare intentions to play PvP. But otherwise it’s about 55% chance of going RP to 45% chance of PvE. I think RP is where a lot of Classic’s “staying power” will be.

Kind of surprised Blizzard evidently doesn’t want to create a RP-PVP Realm though, that would probably be the longest lived realm community/communities of any combination.

I’m going to be going pvp, I want to challenge myself and I just think it will be a better experience overall.

I would have played on rp-pvp but apparently Ion said no. :frowning:

Vanilla without PVP servers just feels like you’re missing half the game for me.

I’m leaning towards PVE. In vanilla I always played on pvp servers and there were some really fun battles and it’s fun when it’s a fair fight. Most of the time though, it’s not a fair fight and I don’t really want to deal with getting 1 shot by high level players, or running into a me vs 5 horde fight, or being in a fight with a mob at 1/2 health and suddenly hearing that snap of a rogue stun going off on me. A lot of the time I just really want to get my quest done and not deal with that. I do hope some really good battles can still happen on a pve server!

pve, us east. i want to be able to go afk on a hillside and not get killed.

but if pvp server is where everyone is, i’ll just re-roll and not complain about server merges.

I am planning a PVE experience. I do hope that Blizz will add an RP server though as I never played on one in Vanilla.

They have RP servers, just not rp-PVP servers so your hope is rewarded.

Excellent!!! Thank you for the information. Looking forward to that. The other games I played before Vanilla were 1st person shooters like U.T, Red Faction etc. I got my pvp angst out in them. LOL. I really just enjoy the world questing and exploring aspect of WoW.
