Are you going to fix feral druid or not?

I have mained feral druid on retail for 15 years.
I was planning on maining it in TBC classic (again).

However, there are currently 2 issues that are making feral not worth playing.

  1. Some sort of weird lag issue when shifting into cat due to Track Humanoid.
  2. Energy regen tick being personal, instead of constant from server.

Issue one makes PvP out of the question.
Issue two makes raid DPS, while not out of the question, much worse.

Can we just get a blue post saying “We’re going to fix these issues. Don’t worry.”?

Energy regen having personal ticks only lasted 1 year until it got scrapped in WotLK’s launch in favor of a constant stream of tick-less energy. It clearly wasn’t a good change if they got rid of it that quickly. Not to mention it’s what enables powerchugging, but that’s a whole other conversation.

Your lag issue might have something to do with the addons you’re using throwing lua errors.

Feral druids are fine. Just play cat.
Or bear.
Not cow-cat-cow-cat.

Power shifting is a quirky and unique playstyle that many players, including myself enjoy. It’s basically gutted now. They kept in “seal twisting” for paladins, why can’t they keep this for druids?

Because there is substantial evidence that devs of the time systematically removed it as soon as wrath dropped.

Reverting to something that doesn’t align with the reference patch, makes way less sense than either sticking to the reference patch, or progressing to what ultimately happened to powershifting.

Bump!

I tried running some 20 man’s last night as a final hoo-rah to classic. Feral DPS power shifting does not feel good right now. Having to wait for two energy ticks to get another shred off is so clunky. Would love to see the regen ticks tied back to the server, not the shift.

Please blizz, as a Druid since release day vanilla , tbc, and wotlk, I truly enjoy the play style of feral which includes power shifting. We had it and you took it away. We aren’t asking for the world, just that our energy regen get put in a pre-2.2 state. That’s it. You’ve made a number of changes including…

Boosts
Seal twisting
Portal pass
Honor bug, nerf, and doubling
Pre-patch length
Arena gear ratings
Arena rating system
Blacksmithing weapons mh requirement
Realm sizes

And many more changes that aren’t coming to my head at the moment.

The point is that the tick changes to a pre-2.2 state would only benefit players. Druids stay happy and other classes are ENTIRELY unaffected. We are already the least played class and the least played melee dps spec.

Throw us a friggin bone. We wear a stupid helm, we farmed MCPs, we bend over backwards to achieve a fraction of what others do. We happily pay the hybrid tax. Just give us this one thing.

Ya feral dps was fun in classic and had no issues. They should definitely fix it soon because using troll blood in our rotation is ridiculous would rather farm mcp’s than have to deal with that

Reducing our dps 14% aint fair

The Seal Twisting gets me. If they can make that change, they can fix the tick bug

The seal twisting is because they removed batching. Batching still existed in the game but we all wanted it removed so they had to compensate paladins for that, you guys are asking them to change a game mechanic that isn’t true to the patch for your own personal reasons. They are not the same.

Would like to know aswell

I mean, the No Changes ship sailed. Even ignoring that, Seal of Blood is a thing for Alliance pallies. This is still a bad argument

I sympathize, but fury warriors got nerfed to hell in TBC, too. But it’s accepted, because that’s TBC. I’m not sure I understand how this is any different.

Hunter world buff AP.
Boons.
Plenty of other changes.

On top of that what druids are asking for is what we had for the first half (technically more, content wise) of TBC.
2.4.3 was not true to the patch that TBC was released on. By the time this bug happened, we had access to better gear that allowed us to work around it.
