I only ever graduated high school and I run circles around the little twerps coming out of colleges nowadays. Most of them don’t know left from right and the best they can do is whip up a lackluster powerpoint. I’ll take the guy with real experience over a piece of paper any day.

Funny you say that. I beat out an MBA for my first real job. Couldn’t stop telling everyone he had an MBA. Guy was just out of school.
Long story short I got the job and he reapplied later and became a business admin… Aka secretary.

To me, this is actually the biggest issue in SoD, report those people and report them often. Eventually ill be able to see real groups being formed and not spammed advertisements.
I would say there is a healthy amount of avenues for that in general, with a few more added in SoD as grouping quests. The nightmare incursions are an example of what you look to ask for, at least as content to bring people together.
I don’t disagree that this is predominantly the case, however with the loot system being tied to currency it was rife for exploitation.
I think this line is misconstrued a lot. Botting will never be 100% combatted which means RMT will remain. Removing the large amount of GDKP based transactions supposedly makes it easier to track illicit ones in general. They are focused on remediation and limiting, since full removal is not a real option. I know the blues say it a lot but they are really fighting a huge industry that can keep going 24/7 while Blizzard cannot and they will always outpace Blizzard.
Other MMO’s deal with this too and the first one to come up with a program to effectively and permanently detect and remove bots will make SOOOOOOOO much money lmao.
I tried two in Wrath just to give it a shot and I didn’t like it. The run was okay but not really noticeably smoother than any other MS>OS I had done. The first was a very VERY quiet run both in chat and in comms outside of bids/call outs.
The second was a horrid experience, which was ironically the one with the bigger payout lmao, people argued over loot, argued over bids, even had some fool up and leave mid way through. In all fairness I will say that the one I disliked the most was the one formed via discord, the one that was more pleasant was a PUG group. (which prompted the anecdote from my friend I posted earlier in our talk).
I mainly dislike the use of gold for loot distro, to me it is less fair than other options out there in a PUG setting. I deal with “I have big money so I get what I want” attitudes all day and I would just rather not deal with that in game.
So yeah ultimately I see no difference, outside of the bidding/paying aspect, between how a GDKP operates compared to a normal pug. Forrest Gump box of chocolates quote
