Are you enjoying the deluge of 370+ gear?

Boy yeah if they announced that you’d have to grind Uldir for the rest of the expansion to stay relevant and to gear up replacements the earth would shake under the weight of ten million people rushing to their computers to resubscribe to World of Warcraft.

caches will follow loot spec, you will get a 385 7th legion weapon in due time

No, they’ll be dropping lfr uldir ilvl loot.

Doesn’t really feel like more than a trickle of gear except on characters who are already 370 in everything but rings and trinkets. My alts are still getting mostly 325 and 340.

he is lieing

meh, you cant get enough gear to trivialize end game mythic+, pvp or raiding.

I stand corrected, got heroic and normal mixed up.

You’re missing the point.

Traditional RPG progression models make every step of the process a milestone. So each gear upgrade feels significant.

Let’s say Dark Souls for example gave you gear but the entire game up to the last couple bosses didn’t challenge you at all. The gear would feel worthless and too much to bother with.

This is the case with any game that has a progression model. If you trivialize 99% of the content you make a lot of things pointless in the game. Gear is one of them.

The gear is still significant, content that was already going to be irrelevant jst gets deprecated sooner. Hell, most of this gear is prettied up bg gear.

So what you’re saying is the gear matters?

If the person doesn’t do raids and M+, does the gear matter at all?

You can do all of the world content, warfronts and island expos at 320. No problem.

So basically 320 to 390 nothing changes. That’s the problem.

You get noticably stonger. Which is plenty of reward for just grinding the easy content. After you max that out, either move up or stagnate.

Thanks mods for unflagging my op

I haven’t seen so much catch-up gear so fast. Maybe they’re trying to just get this expansion over with. Why play now for gear when you can come back in 6 months and be as geared within a week as someone who’s been playing the whole time?

The fact they implemented it even before the next raid was released was a massive misstep imo. I guess they felt like they needed something to fill the gap between patch day and raid release.

Its quite easy, Hit all invasions that offer armor cache and Warfronts for titan residuum from scrapping, Buy 390 from the vendor, All World bosses with bonus rolls for Hoping titanforge trinkets, Buy the ring from the 7th Legion Service medal vendor.

Get 370+ Weapons from Either Warfronts or Invasions. Really that’s about it, All World content that pops up.

You already do M+, so that’s good. I looked at your gear and I see you also do the warfront quest. I think you stay on emissaries too for azerite and other gear. I’d grab a 355 trinket off the AH for an easy upgrade there from your 340. I assume you do the world bosses - Ivus just opened up, be sure to use bonus rolls.

So, just always do the incursions for gear drops, scrap all azerite and use residuum to get 385 all 3 slots and build up and use your medals to get the 395 ring. You can see this toon of mine, I don’t do more than that (no raids for me) and M+ is mediocre until next Tuesday.

Which has nothing to do with TF nor Ilvl, Because I’m going to check that guy logs/parses even if we didn’t have ilvl/gearscore/raiderIO.

People are buying carries like crazy, a guy could just buy full clears/M+ runs at the end of the Expac and he can be around the same ilvl as you.

So lets ban carries as well if that’s the case?

This was called “Progression Raiding” and it was utter cancer only promoted by grognards/poopsockers and general idiots until Blizzard mercifully started to slay it at the end of BC and fully slayed it at WOTLK.

Now that’s some quality ad hominem!

They do this so mythic gear has a chance to forge.

I’d like to see difficulty specific titanforge caps, personally.
