Are WoW season's to long?

To WoW’s genre? What was it?

WoW wasn’t even the biggest MMORPG in the 2000’s, Lineage 2 was.

Well fair! I can’t say I’ve heard of it but the numbers do speak for themselves.

I don’t really see them removing the lower modes of raids tbh though. It’s a vocal minority that complain about a lack of content and their opinion shouldn’t inform the keeping removing of content.

delve players would cry so hard if they had to progress at the same pace as your average CE player.

seasons wouldn’t be too long if blizzard didn’t design dog water content like siren isle and instead did a new dungeon/raid/delves you know the actual content majority of players interact with. outdoor content has always been and will always be a vehicle to move players into these other endgame pillars.

if were only going by this season alone then omg this season is way to long. ive been done since the first weekend of november. im pretty much out of alts to gear up to. its getting hard to find a reason to stay sub. m+ alone was the worst this season since sl season 1. this is the first season that only lasted 2 months for me. normally its around now that everyone stops running raid/keys and i start working on alts.

thats gonna happen regardless. they rush it or they take their time were getting the same buggy mess. this is blizzard were talking about. there a small indie company its not like there a multi billion dollar company

  1. Lineage 2’s numbers are misleading, they counted total lifetime not concurrent/active subs.
  2. Fat lot of good it did them. Point stands.

This season showed beyond any doubt that people hate M+ and only did it for the inflated welfare loot. Once people had an alternative, they bailed.

i like m+ this season was just so god awful with pugs that it sucked. this season was worse than shadowlands season 1 and dragonflight season 1. at least those seasons i could get pugs but this season 9/10 pugs were a waste of time and just lowered my key. i couldnt even trust info from rio because apparently having a io that says you timed 10s while also having it show you have timed this dungeon multiple times as a 10 doesnt mean u can time it as a 8. people dont hate m+ its just the worst possible state mythic + could be in. hell the crap affix that have been removed are better than what we have now. this is the first season i dont have 3+ ksm toons

That’s because people aren’t focusing on what they should be doing based on their skill, but rather where they can get carried by others to their next gear upgrades.

It’s made much worse because of the gear upgrades, which have people floating around with inflated ilvls that don’t match their skill levels.

Gear upgrades have turned out to be a huge mistake.

Because of gear upgrades, somebody who regularly caps out farming +4’s and somebody who regularly does +7’s have the same gear. Despite wildly disproportionate skill levels.

gear upgrades havent been a problem in the past. the problem is delves. untill someone can prove otherwise i will believe they made m+ crap so they can push delves to get people to try the new thing they made. why would anyone waste time in keys under a 7 when you can just run delves. the dungeon squash was a bad decision because all the people who run low keys have nowhere to go. we now have people who geared up quickly and easily through delves but now skill when it comes to m+ doing keys and trying to do keys way above their skillset without any knowledge about the dungeon or mechanics. i get called toxic because by the time someones doing a 5 key i expect them to know the mechanics. by the time people were doing 15s they had at least some understanding of mechanics.

Short answer yes

But it depends on the season, there’s not anything really to do in S1 TWW which for sure makes it too long, a long bad season is way worse than a long good season

I’m pretty sure they’ve already said they are doing away with awakened seasons. Which honestly sucks imo. So we’re looking at ~6 month seasons or 18 month expansions. Which doesn’t actually solve the complaints that mythic raiders had about awakened seasons (unless we luck into a late release on an expansion which is admittedly very possible) but they will still flex about it regardless I guess.

I don’t think so.

I’m prolly gonna run out of time in S1 to get everything done.

Unless some miracle happens I won’t even have time to cap my hero gear.

There’s a raid you haven’t done.

I don’t have time for raiding and I don’t enjoy it

And I would only be interested in mythic raiding if at all so I couldn’t care less about heroic

Everyone has done the raid. Mythic raids aren’t actually “doing the raid” for 90% of everyone.

Seasons are pretty standard since DF. 6 months major patches with minor patches every 2 months or so.

I think it’s fine. It sets expectations on consistently released patches and gives them time to work.

No, there used to be a lot more time in between patches/seasons and it’s way better now. I don’t know what people are complaining about at all. None of you would have lasted during the last patch of Wrath before Cataclysm came out lol.

Dude I replied to hasn’t. Check his cheevos.
