You left out “GET OFF MY LAWN!”
To be honest if people realize (or admit it) or not for long time players of the game part of reason many keep playing even if they aren’t nearly as excited for the game when they first got into many years ago— it’s habit.
Seriously it’s a real thing for us humans. You can keep doing the same hobby playing the same game even if it’s honestly not nearly as exciting or interesting as it once was because well it’s familiar, it’s an escape and it’s a habit. That all adds up to it’s comfortable to you because you know it.
Are WoW players ever content?
Only in PVP, my friend. Or is that not what you meant?
Thank you for this knowledge and sorry for my ignorance.
.
It’s totally okay; I didn’t know for a long time, either! I found out by clicking on Flynn by accident, instead of the table, LOL. If you decide to try some solo expeditions, hope you have a great time and get some cool stuff.
Well im having fun doing plundestorm and i have been doing siren isle because of the cosmetics. So im keeping busy , I plan to run lfr just to see the raid. I like delves and solo dungeons. I haven’t been hardcore about anything in forever Used to raid.
I LOVE DRAGONRIDING doing the races. Not as much in Tww the rewards suck but i did them a lot more in last expansion.
Everything. I love this game.
I have six level 80’s and about to level five more.
Hubby and I quest and delve together. It’s a win win.
I do this to flex my mounts (every so often) and flex my transmogs.
Are there things I would like to see changed orore of? Of course. But I’m waiting for the next patch to see what we get.
Nah happy people play the game
Playing with friends. Basically the only reason I’m still around. Solo que stuff ain’t the answer lol.
In general I think wow is trying to please too many audiences… So nobody is ever super happy? It’s also an old game… Hard to stay relevant forever.
Never. 90% of any games player base posting on forums aren’t in my opinion
No.
Same, mostly; I see why they dialed back the rewards. Far too much gold for far too little effort.
It’s still the very first thing I do on Tuesdays and Saturdays, though.
WoW is the only game that plays like WoW. It’s unique in the space imo and retains so much charm. I love the fast pace, the variety of ways to play, and female Draenei are just an added bonus.
In patch 34.2, WoW players become the content and AI plays against us. I’m pretty sure they’re all robot Vulpera terminators…
Content players are probably not heard much when the discontent ones come here to complain. Sadly, this can cause the game to weir towards changes a vocal minority demands if they are the only ones the developers encounter.
Wow players are never content with “content” they don’t like, but are “content” with arguing with other players about “content”.
I really like that we’re getting more cosmetic quality items lately, it used to be a major pain to make a casual outfit mog for anything that wasnt a mage, lock or priest
OP Here.
A few of y’all scoffed at the comments, some of you all lovingly posted what you enjoyed - I’ll at least explain something here.
It ain’t just the forums. You go to Youtube - unhappiness. You go to Wowhead - unhappiness. You could make a change and there’s outroar. You make no change and there is outroar. There never seems to be anything that’s ‘ok’ - no, this patch sucks because its filler meant to tide some things over for next patch so it isn’t four to six months of nothing.
It does get a bit much. I do appreciate though seeing folks have some genuine gripes but still finding enjoyment in a game they do like. I’m not saying everything has to be perfect or that you’ll appease every crowd - just that there’s just too MUCH negativity nowadays. To those saying ‘it’s always been that way’ a reduced player population and every avenue of game news having these comments gets far more noticeable.
Content may also mean ‘happy with your position in life right now’. I would not mind some change but we’re not in Shadowlands territory anymore.
I’m just glad the lights are not out all the sudden and they just pull the plug on the whole thing.
You’re right, I think part of it is I love racing through some of the zones more in Dragonsoul, and the music is different in TWW so I don’t quite get the top gun thrill I did in Dragonsoul lol. I still do the races when there’s a quest to do world quests.
