Usually Blizzard has a Christmas sale around this time. Last year (2021) we had the sale starting December 16, and it included 30% off in-game services as well as other sales for their other games. I’m assuming that the gift of Dragonflight promotion should be the start of the Christmas sale seeing as how it is the 16th today, and Winter veil started in-game today after reset. I would like confirmation from a blue post if we are still getting the discounts, or if they aren’t coming this year.
At the time of writing this there are no sales visible on my client for in-game services, but maybe they are just being added in late? Also I am writing this for Retail only.
I think you missed it. Blizzard had a sale on services just a couple of weeks ago. I don’t remember the exact dates, but I think it aligned around Black Friday sales. I know I purchased a name change for a character that is normally $10. and the sale price was $7.
If that is to happen, it will be announced on our main site. Customer Support would have no information to share on what sales may be on the horizon. Sorry.
If you want to provide feedback on “yes, I want another sale of X”, then posting in the General Discussion forums or submitting a suggestion through the in-game interface option would probably be best. That allows the Community Team to see it and bubble that feedback up.
I think it’s fair to say that the sale of our character services is a popular request though.
The sale started on December 21st in 2020 and the 19th in 2019 (thanks, Gmail), so it’s probably still coming. I’d imagine they start it on a different day every year intentionally.
Between now and January 2nd, anyone with a sub can make a Dracthyr and level them from 59 to 63. The Drac will be locked after that unless the xpac is purchased.
If we get another sale it should be either this week leading up to Christmas or it will be over the Lunar holiday event. I am crossing my fingers. I have several guildmates I need to give gifts to.
