I was just wondering about this. If they’re not, it’ll be a bummer for me, bkz I think the orig Cata had the LFR system. I got to see raids and story and content! It was amazing!!

when Dragon Soul comes out in january it will come with LFR, like it originally did the first time around.

It was final raid so we shall see.
But if this continues it has to come. Latter wow built around it.
Mop, wod, legion…would be all new coding’s to remove it. It was integral to those. It’s baked into the tape backups really.
Wrath rdf pull worked kind of since they had an rdf less tape backup to use. Just add add to that.
Also there woild need to be reward rebalance.
Some order halls content needs raid. Lfr counted.
Needing normal to heroic geared chars to get a reward not even normal raid levels would be really odd.
I am not saying they haven’t done it, that was bfa. By the time you got the rep to get faction rep vendor gear…it was trash lol. Not even pretty mogs to my eyes even.

They will, if not now then in MOP. Here are some of the playerbase arguments you will see:
- How am I suppose to get my GS up for normals without LFR?
- No one is playing Cata because LFR isn’t in the game.
- Everyone does 10 mans now and there are no spots for me in my guild. I need it
- I’m a casual dad and so is my uncle’s brother’s cousin and sometimes we just want to go online sometime in the week and do a raid without a schedule
- Raids have story mode elements and because I can’t get into a raid on my server with 1 other person, I’m being locked out of important story content and its not worth my sub
- I’ve been a no changes guy since Classic Vanilla came out and I want no changes to Cata.

Eh, there really is no point to imo. These fights so far on normal have legit felt like walking into an LFR lol bosses feel like LFR while trash feels like heroic
I would pay good money tho to put in an LFR queue, tune all the bosses to heroic difficulty level, and have a stream going for each instance for us to watch the chaos. 
They are not going to do the extra work of tuning the two tiers that never had lfr to be lfr friendly.

Iirc, in an interview with Blizz, they said they do not plan on releasing any LFRs for DS like there was back in OG Cata but I could be wrong.
Why? If you don’t want to use it don’t…

Because it has a major negative impact on raiding as content.
It will come with dragon soul patch like it originally did, just like RDF came with the patch it originally did. Blizz will be purposely vague about it, but that’s what will happen.

I hope that they added it for MoP classic, with the amount of raiding that you need to do for your legendary cloak. I don’t really mind if it’s added or not to Cata.
How? Just don’t do it. If you have no interest in LFR you can still do normal and heroic raids for better gear.
If they did it would come in with Dragon Soul at the end of the expansion.
I admit, I have LFR and Trade chat both in their own windows to avoid the general chat nastiness. You do you, but I keep them separate and am in the habit of putting shouters on ignore. It makes my ‘journey’ less ugly.
