I love your idea about making normal queueable. That has been something I’ve really wanted for awhile now.
You’re presenting the argument as though LFR players are clearing LFR and turning the game into a joke by facerolling 10 keys with the gear they acquired in LFR.
The philosophy you quoted is trying to tell the DM not to place a +10 intelligent vorpal longsword in the hut of the three goblins that the level 1 PCs killed because it’s going to make the game a joke.
It’s entirely unrelated to how LFR and WoW operate.
If only mythic cloud yelling was a thing
That’s a reach.
He’s saying that people clear LFR day of release then complain about no content.
They also complain that the open world is too easy, because they were handed gear they should never have received.
But he specifically quoted “monty hall” as power progression being out of wack. THat’s absolutely not the discussion anymore, and is nothing more than a strawman.
It’s like you guys keep switching back and forth between the two when it’s not going according to how you want the discussion to go
That’s ironic because you keep making extreme reaches anytime your pretty weak points are refuted.
I’m in food coma mode after grilling 5 lbs of burgers lol
You claiming something being a reach doesn’t make it so.
I have been pretty on topic. And you hate it.
Actually I never said you were t on topic. Just your points were pretty awful and were pretty big reached.
I don’t hate it because I don’t get emotional over the forums.
I may think you’re clueless but I don’t hate you.
Claiming WoW should operate on a set of guildelines set in the 70’s seems like quite a bigger reach, don’t you think?
Power progression isn’t even close to what they described.
Nope. It’s been the basic rules for the MMO genre since the genre started.
If you think that LFR should award the same gear that mythic does you’re more clueless than I thought.
Please quote where I said LFR and Mythic are even close
Then what’s wrong with the philosophy of what Brewa linked?
The hardest content shoukd reward the best gear. Hard concept is hard.
WoW already does that, though?
Which is what Brewa was saying.
Is English not your first language?
So it seems we’re again agreeing. Where is the problem?
In what way is LFR problematic for gear progression?
LFR is only problematic when people who only run LFR cry about content drought.
Yeah okay you have no point.
Retails options are fine. Variety is good imo.
Want to see the other option…well classic is there.
You can spam 85 normal on ding to get 333 to clear ilevel requirements, to maybe get a heroic dungeon you won’t get a heroic you won’t get kicked from. Maybe even you get non skipping tanks.
We get tol barad dailies for open world. 346 gear (so okay-ish) and it takes time. Cheapest gear is like 85 commendations. you are maybye getting 24 a day from BG wins and 18 dailies. That is me being nice.
You ran and won 2 tol barad pvp BG’s for the day. These are on 3 hour timers. I catch what is my tz’s 2000 and 2300 showing usually.
Or you wowhead up your best NPC story faction and exalt them. IF you like to RP and find your BIS faction is not your RP theme…well get to rethinking that RP lol.
You can try to pvp gear it. Some don’t like that.
Retail I will grant lets you find more ways to get stuff. Kind of nice that.
It did kinda feel good to have one raid fits all in classic, because if you downed a boss you knew that literally everyone downed the boss on the same difficulty level and it added to the sense of satisfaction. But I know it’s not practical nowadays, because of the vast skill range that the game has. But I wouldn’t be opposed to them revisiting seasonal approach in favor of more incremental approach that classic had where earlier tiers were defacto easier difficulties
