Based on the WoWhead article it seems like there are no Cata rewards for Plunderstorm? Is this true?

the first time around, there was a parrot mount.
Yeah I know. But this time around it doesn’t seem (at least to me) like Cata is getting any rewards. The word “Cataclysm” is mentioned nowhere, so I assume its 100% retail.

I would love to see some clarification on this. I loved the event the first time around, grinded everything out in the first 48 hours, but if theres no rewards for Cata Classic then I’ll probably be sitting out for this season. It’s a little concerning because they let us know in advance that rewards would be available on Cataclysm Classic but I haven’t seen anything this time around.
Hoping they at the very least let us get the new parrot mount on Cata Classic, and maybe the new armor transmog too since they’ve already given cata the HD graphics overhaul.

Bird mount is much easier to get now though. Just takes a few good games rather than hours upon hours of grinding.
I’m just glad Blizz still remembers to turn the power off then on again each Tuesday for resets.
That’s about as much effort they have anymore for Cata Classic.

well, you can get that parrot if you didn’t get it before, and this time it’s suuuper easy. last time it was locked in the renown system so you had to farm for a while, but this time you can get it with a few games of avoiding people and gathering xp and coffers
Me too I want the purple parrot. Already had the other stuff from season 1.

Yup, got all 40 renown levels in a day back in season 1, and kept playing it even after that. Really enjoyed the first season but I won’t be touching the second season. It wouldn’t have been hard to add some of the rewards to Cataclysm Classic, but they intentionally chose not to, so I don’t feel right supporting the gamemode. Hopefully the devs use their brains a little more in season 3 and include classic again
