Are there any OTHER character tracking websites?

So I remember a time when Guildox was Shutdown and Wowprog got neutered because blizzard stopped character tracking across an account for privacy issues and people stalking them across it, Well given it has happend to me once again, ONCE MORE

Outside of Raider.io
And Check-PVP.com

ARE THERE ANY OTHER WEBSITES I HAVE TO CREATE AN ACCOUNT ON TO STOP MYSELF FROM BEING TRACKED ACROSS CHARACTERS BECAUSE BASIC PRIVACY IS SOMETHING THAT IS STILL TOO HARD FOR BLIZZARD TO ACHEIVE?

I’ve gone as far as disabling cross account acheivement tracking and yet here i am ONCE again being stalked by third parties using third party websites to harrass me in-game.

Just like with bots, people find a way around systems. There is absolutely no way for Blizzard to predict the future for which websites might crop up that may pull together character information like this. Those sites exist to help higher tier PvP and PvE folks weed out people who aren’t up to par. They were not created in some attempt just to ruin the blanket of privacy some people wish for.

I’m sorry you’re having this issue, but I can promise you it’s not some crazy conspiracy that Blizzard is out to get you. People stalking others through the game is a small percentage against those who legitimately use those sites and others.

Also you may wish to remove the language before it’s removed for you - or before your entire thread is tossed in the bin.

Just to touch on this: Blizzard owns the account and everything on it. There’s no personal info of yours that anyone can find that’s on your account besides your toons.

These sites primarily have access to the same information that the Armory and forums use, Sukoraki. They use it to allow users to be updated on a characters gear and dungeon/raid experience/performance. That information isn’t generally considered “personal info” as it is a functionality of the game itself.

Now if someone is harassing you in-game, I’d recommend submitting a ticket under “Ongoing Harassment” so that it can be looked into. It is important that you use the ignore option and not engage with them.

It becomes personal information when you can type into pvp-check “Vrakthis-Blizzardentertainment”
and you get a list of all your alts on every realm and guild you play on and as such you can spread the drama around and cause no end to the amount of problems that an individual can face if they manage to accidentally aggro whatever highschool clique is in when it comes to realm drama

Of wich something is VERY common on RP realms, obviously the above wont work for you but it very much works for anyone else, This functionally should not be possible and blizzards poor attempt to stop systems from being used as such clearly shows.

At no point should you be able to link someone across factions let alone across realms with an AUTOMATICLY OPTED IN SYSTEM be it under blizzards control or not.

By the time you report people for on-going harrassment the damage is already done and you need to move somewhere else.

but still, no personal information is released.

Perhaps you need to take this up with those sites that are putting out this information. Also Vrakthris is spot on about ongoing harassment and how to deal with it…

In case you didn’t notice I hail from MG, same as you. I do get the ridiculous drama that stirs up on our realms, so while it hasn’t happened to me, I’ve seen it happen to others.

That said, report these people. Do not reply, just right click and report and ignore them completely. It may not be fixed at the snap of the fingers but so long as you do your due diligence, Blizzard does do all that they can to help remedy the situation. I’m sorry that this is a thing for you and that this is even an issue, but with some patience and following through as mentioned, things will be tended to. Even without these websites some people have a sixth sense for what it takes to stalk and find folks.

Unless your on a battletag without websites like these it is almost impossible to track across multiple realms,

to this day i still have the same 3 people from a collapsed guild i was apart of IN CATACLYSM causing problems, Blizzards failure to lockdown the API on some parts that clearly don’t need to be tracked or available publicly like say

PET COUNTS allows this to cross over and be trackable across multiple licenses, Multiple realms, Multiple factions.

Reporting an on-going harrassment will do nothing to solve damage done when you’ve been found and an entire group of people poisoned because at the end of the day no-one wants to deal with drama and many people in a team are easily replaced.

It’s easier to eject someone and replace them then potentially deal with long term drama that they may or may not be responsible for.

So while i’m here, The easiest and simplest solution is to do this:

Are there anymore of these websites i need to know of, As google doesn’t seem to be helpful at the moment

Or are Raider.io and Check-pvp the only two, While i use Raider.io to vet people, I am entirely against it’s “opt out” tracking across an entire account.

That I could not say, perhaps some other posters may offer up suggestions. I am sorry for the headache you’re going through with all of this, and I do hope the best for you. I’ll never understand how people have the wherewithal to hunt and harass people.

I’ll Give it to Vrakthis, He’s awfully quick.

That being said maybe i was a bit nasty earlier and i apologize but i believe my point still stands this shouldn’t be able to be a thing

There isn’t much Blizzard can do, as a lot of people use sites like this for raiding, PVP and the like. They’re not really into the habit of remembering something from everyone for a few. More to the point, there will be other ways that folks will find to replace it.

I totally understand, Sukoraki. The information may seem innocuous to some but I think many can understand how it can be used for those with the tenacity to do so. I know it can be a bit frustrating but please, if these folks continue to contact you or alts, report it as ongoing harassment so that we can establish a pattern of behavior and take appropriate actions.

For the core issue, I’m not sure what can be done but I’d highly recommend submitting feedback through the in-game help menu so our Devs can take it into consideration.
