I have been trying to feel it out, but it sure does feel like different character models are very different in terms of how much RNG they have / don’t have and while my UD characters feel similar to my Human ones I cant help but notice that killing Alliance is easier; not that they’re playing worse or better just that something does not seem to add up.
For example, gnome frost mage bane of my existance is less deadly than a UD frost mage; some how as if by flipping magic the UD mage has slightly better reach on his blizzard spell and other spells like Frost armor seem to just proc more for the UD mage vs the Alliance counter part.
Another thing I noticed is that GEARED to the teeth Alliance warriors who’re by no means bad players don’t resist stuns, dodge gouge and kidney as frequently as Horde does.
With all the crazy stuff at Blizz it would not be a shocker to find out that the 2 factions are not Equal and I am not talking about the minuscule differences in base stats. I went back and did some testing on a naughty server and fighting both sides feels for all intended use the same, but I feel like the leeway given to horde characters is just better, and their chance to resist or avoid CC just feels better and more effective.
Provided the dishonest and corrupt behavior at Blizzard, things very well could be dishonest even down to how RNG works from one faction to the next.
To add a little bit of cred to this, Blizzard in VERY early Classic BETA got pinched for having weaker female characters than male characters; Human male warrior vs Female warrior. Not even kidding that actually happened in 2019, so who’s to say there arent some questionable things?
I wouldnt put it past blizzard they really do love their hordies.
We call that confirmation bias.
Well I just started to main Alliance and I cant help but notice. =/
You should try to test it out for yourself if you’re suspicious of it. Come back with the data and THEN we’ll get our pitchforks, but the data first pls.
Maybe you just like being Horde so much better, that playing as Alliance affects your ability to play.

Ok, the tinfoil hat posts about blizzard bias are always fun to read

Horde I don’t care about, if the UD was Alliance would be in heaven.
Well they did get pinched for it in Classic Vanilla Beta, soooooooooo yeah.
Someone not sure how they would think that it was even a thing, but tested Male vs Female warrior I think it was… Found out the Female character did measurably less damage than the male character. Fairly certain it was Male vs Female warriors. That was in Vanilla “Classic” Beta.
Blizzard blamed it on “old data”
Blizzard took their wage gap and applied it to in game damage huh?
LOL ya looks like it… Considering that they would do that and knowing what we do know about them now, I really don’t trust them at all.
i believe the only case of this is tauren who have a slightly large hit box then other races so they have a very slightly longer melee range however that doesnt effect spells only melee attacks although this does come witht eh down side of having to dismount when goiong through doors that otehr races can just run right through
Cow was allegedly “normalized” in TBC BETA but man I don’t know its Blizz and they lie all the time.
They gave us the fix to faction balance in Retail, just need to make it apply across all races.
Neutral through the starter zone, pick your faction once you finish. Give everyone the panda experience.
I remember SonyDigital made a post about that, and a blue confirmed it was actually due to people coming out of polymorph with normalized hit boxes or something. Essentially shrinking Tauren to have a “normal” hit box
For only Panda tho… such a shame.
There’s that many sub-factions within alliance and horde, that it would be awesome if we all could choose either faction. Or even have no faction
would be kinda awesome to break the game up into like 4 factions for a real Charly Foxtrot
