Are the 1% enjoying their Mechagnomes now?

The whole High Elves debate is a rabbit tunnel, no sense in debating it here, From the race to the politics of the debate, The only reason I brought them up here was the AR selection the DEVs DID for the Alliance made little to no sense, most were not asked for by the Alliance, Better ARs could be of been selected for the Alliance based on lore, and nothing was really new For the Alliance,

But to say Alliance is whining is a dishonest statement, especially after what was delivered to the horde when it come to Allied races. You guy pretty much received everything you asked for as a community. This is Just my opinion but I think allot people in the Alliance community feel that the DEVs let the Alliance community down yet again.

There’s two issues with that theory for me. They didn’t get updated models with 8.3 just as they took the spotlight, if they were just around the corner as ARs it seems like they would have new models made to ease character customisation like Vulpera and Mechagnomes.

Also it would be really harsh for Forsaken and worgen fans to not even get an AR based on the skeleton.

give horde the worgen skeleton and give alliance lightforged undead, obv.

I know, suuuuuper unlikely. But still, having potentially “good” Mogu is pretty neat.

But yeah, it’ll be a Worgen/Forsaken deviation type deal somewhere.

I saw a grand total of one junker gnome in a NH mog run. That was it. I assume most will be in leveling dungeons though.

No thanks, Forsaken have been screwed over enough recently without putting them in a state of civil war with half their faction siding with the Alliance. That stupid piece of lore where Forsaken were defecting to the Alliance was bad enough.

I saw a Mechagnome yesterday!
Oh wait, it was just the NPC in the new DK start zone.

I think the Only AR I would have agreed with was the Dark Iron, they were requested by more then 1% Of the Alliance Community, Also had been asked for by the community for a while, so to me they were legit and fit into the Alliance Story/Lore and were asked for by allot of the Alliance Community.

Don’t blame Alliance players for Blizzard’s terrible writing. It’s not our fault they couldn’t be bothered to come up with anything better than amputated midgets.

God, please, no. That would be so disappointing. We don’t need a fourth human race.

I’ve been looking but I cant find any either. I seen one guildy unlock them (achievement) that I know of anyhow. I think we will see more once people are done with the quests for the cloak.

Theorization: Ankoan for the Alliance using a modified Nelf-rig. Something with undead paladins on the Horde.

My money on the final races would be Mogu and Vykrul if they really want to tempt people back to the Alliance. Only thing holding that back are KTs. Just like how they wanted Void Elves instead of High Elves we got KT instead of Vykrul. Lame elves and lame big humans instead of races that make sense in the Lore.

Nelfs have an AR. Worgen are next up.

Correction: Worgen are a beastly race. Ankoan are a beastly race with new, updated assets in their environment.

Well Vrykul likely wouldn’t have made sense since they’re mostly pretty hostile. KTs have always been in lore with the Alliance, but hey were never described as fat so that was definitely a bit of a surprise.

I don’t see Mogu being the Horde option, either, since there’s just no connection.

Who knows? Since there won’t be an 8.3.5, there might not be any other allied race coming.

Optimism: There is a prepatch.

No. More. Humans. Please.

If we’re talking skeletons here, Sethrak share the worgen skeleton. Just throwing that out there. I have no idea what would go on the Forsaken skeleton, I think the only things using it are K’thir and skinny Kul Tiran. I find it more likely they’d get a thematically related race such as San’layn, though those don’t really have any good story threads since their brief war campaign appearance.

This is my worst fear, that they’ll just let the whole allied race system end on this wet fart of a note for the Alliance.

Prepatch is more likely going to introduce us to stuff regarding Shadowlands (the level squish I’m expecting) and Allied Races we’re pretty BfA exclusive. So while there COULD be an Allied Race, it could also be that they only planned to do the Vanilla/BC races and Cataclysm on won’t get any deviations.

Honestly? I’m kind of hoping this is the case. I want more customization to the existing races. I think 12 races per side is a fine spot to be in, and I’d prefer to start getting new races in the future with unique rigs and models rather than continue down this “Lets take the Tauren model and stick antlers on its head and call it a whole new race” path they’ve been going down now.
