Are streamers out of touch?

Bs, you cannot accept a sponsor without a disclaimer. It’s illegal.

Aside that, i think some are, at least some points.

Like asmon recent points about classes and general gameplay was absolute trash. I think he’s generally more right than wrong, but in this case… Jesus Christ.

I also think the streamer hate on the forums is pathetic. Envious loser behavior. About as pathetic and L worthy as asmon recent points about the aforementioned things.

theyre allowed to like it and they’re allowed to like blizzard doing something new, they could have made it some pve event like taking back gilneas which is what I was expecting which would have been complete doodoo. I think most people are happy with this event

Not likely. Some people would have just stopped paying them for a few months instead of hanging around expecting content they would enjoy. I really can’t see how it would be worse. People would complain no doubt but they wouldn’t feel betrayed and that is how they made some people feel.

I don’t see how - most PvE’rs aren’t and I have talked to PvP’rs who said not very fun either.

I’m not surprised.

It’s definitely a waste of money, though.

I love how people who flock to social media think they’re somehow in touch.

Like, yes, the magnet for negative opinions and rage-baiting clearly knows more than people who are just playing the video game and having a good time.

If you got picked out of the 60 streamers to potentially win 50k, you’d be less inclined to align with the players who think Plunderstorm was a bad idea.

that isn’t even in wow.

The pvp community needed a new game?

/y “Praise be to the storm!” runs into storm

Fastest $5k of my life, get a chunk of likes/subs from the Stormrunners, and potentially become a meme?

Yes /10char

Doubt.

Streamers will say whatever gets them the most views which makes them more money.

They’re streamers, not rhodes scholars. That’s how the grift goes.

yes they are

Well they make money off wow, so anything that hurts blizz hurts them

they’re critical of wow like 99% of the time

Yea but if no one watches them they lose money no ?

Its a fun gamemode. Atleast for me it is. Should we be mad? No? Its new content. Rewards other then lvl 5 is purely cosmetic. I cant be mad because they use development time on 3 versions of classic. I have a road map for retail so i know whats comming. If anything its the HS event that makes me mad.

the only thing they touched was their mouse to see how many ppl donated them on paypal after their lip service, over reactions and hot topics on twitch. they dont care any which way, just as long as they get money lol.

No, they are just slaves to the money. Its also why you cant trust any of them. Zero authenticity. They will tell you whatever their sponsers tell them to.

What, exactly, is “it?” Why should anyone be upset about Plunderstorm in the first place?

If you don’t like the game mode, don’t play it. I’m not the biggest fan of it, because I’m terrible at PvP in this game. But I’ll do a few matches a day to just get the rewards, since they’re really nice.

Another example of video killed the radio star.

I’d rather read posters on here than one person’s hot take with flashy graphics, rampant narcissism for 30 minutes.

They watch videos made by people of themselves.

In another universe, we could be famous on here. And even better is the fact that it’s not some scrolling text nightmare, but generally more educated thoughts instead of these low brow nonsensical “stream” of consciousnesses we have for( hence) streaming media.

It may not look it, but I rewrite or delete my posts quite often when I’ve typed something dumb.

Also, very few have an “online personality” much like a comedian or other charismatic character. Also, I am private about my gaming life. I don’t have the attractiveness of an online person. Let’s not forget the aggressive bullying by anonymous people on streamers. They WILL judge you to your last eyelash.

TLDR: I get more out of the forums. I know y’all’s names. I can be involved and step away from live events. I generally can understand everyone even if English isn’t their primary language and overall this is a safer more interesting place than if I were merely surrounded by obsequious hive minds.

We can still have our arguments and opinions. Streamers lack the dialogue we have here.
