Thankful? No.
How upset people are about an optional side game that doesn’t effect the main game is pretty ridiculous though.

They have never been in touch
they’re sold to the company, an example of a person you shouldn’t be, imagine even watching they lol twitch is so braindead for me, i’ill never understand why its popular
They are being paid $5,000 to participate.
Big if true. But I would definitely want to source something like that.
WoW players are so histrionic, oh my lord.
I don’t care what streamers say. I don’t care what the WoW forums say. Plunderstorm is fun and completely optional.
Much like mega-churches and talk radio, the people convince their viewers that they’re their friend and ‘on your side’.
Yes, this exactly.
Yep.
If they’d fix even a quarter of WoWs big issues, people would not be near as upset with Fortnite.
No, they’re right. Disappointment is one thing. Feedback about legitimate issues is one thing. But the scathing, vitriolic anger that so many people have been expressing over it is nothing short of pathetic and childish.
For some people being mad on the internet is their absolute favourite hobby. They’re always looking for an excuse. And ironically plunderstorm was just the thing they were waiting for. It gave them an excuse to bust out all the hits: “The devs are out of touch!” “Blizz lied!” “I’m cancelling!” “We’re being forced to play it!” “FOMO!”
And let’s be honest. The reason so many people are mad at this game mode specifically is because the most famous battle royale game was popularised and enjoyed by young people. And for the miserable old farts who love being mad on the internet, there is no worse thing than a younger generation. “How dare they have their own likes and interests! Don’t they know that my generation already had the best video games?”
When I think of streamers, ethical isn’t the first word that comes to mind. Or the second, third or twentieth.
Blegh, streamers suck.
I do love me some Plunderstorm, though.
Plungerstorm is honestly a decent mode as a battle royale.
xD ic what you did there
An interesting point.
What would the reaction have been if they had detailed the patch on the timeline (as they have every other patch) telling everyone it was a time-limited Battle Royale-style event set in Arathi Highlands but not actually a part of the retail experience?
And why wasn’t it put onto the PTR for testing? Why the need for the secrecy at all?
Considering wow doesn’t get an audience anymore plunderstorms there only way to make some cash ATM so of course they will be fully bias and behind it.
Streamers are not out of touch. They’re completely in touch with themselves and solely represent themselves.
It’s the morons that use streamers as some sort of valid source of information worth citing that are out of touch.
Rarest moment when I upvote Brewa.
I dont think streamers are out of touch as they appear to be. I am a new streamer, I really enjoy it but you will be surprise at the amount of money these gaming company will throw at streamers. Like it is ridiculous. I don’t blame them but its always fair to know what goes on behind the scene. This is America, a capitalistic place. This should come as no surprise to anyone. People got bills to pay and I am sure if you where streaming and a gaming company offered you 100k to play one game, a game that you have been playing for free on your own time. Youll take that deal too. So I dont think streamers are tone deaf, well they have to be because again we got bills to pay… I think they know what they are doing, and just like any job you have to do, you cant always be your self. Lets stop being children here.
Why “almost?” Just stop.
