No. I am loving assass in M+. They are very strong and the gameplay is enjoyable to me. Love bleeding and poisoning out the mobs.

Rogue in general is historically the least played class down there with Monk lol. The reality of the state of the game right now is because Blizzard has allowed these âgod compsâ in M+ to go on for so long that even the casual playerbase demands those specs even in low keys. Outlaw will never have a chance of being a popular spec again and it has nothing to do with the way it plays but because Blade Flurry is targetcapped which is destroying the spec.
You have zero reason to ever invite an Outlaw rogue when you could just invite somebody playing Sin when Sin is also winning in low cleave while also being uncapped.
Like if you were a pug making a group why would you ever invite an Outlaw rogue over a Ret Paladin for example. Ret is uncapped, can still fight mobs from 20 yards away even though theyâre the literal reason we lost Acrobatic Strikes, brain dead rotation that takes 1/50th the effort with hekili built in you just press whatever lights up, constant damage, BOP, Sac which of today also gives poison and disease immunity during the duration, Devo Aura which is just better than Atrophic in every single way, off healing, battle rez, aoe stop, hoj, immunity, dispel.
Meanwhile Outlaw is target capped, punished extremely hard for any downtime at all especially with Acro gone, aoe stop, Kidney, Cheap Shot which is actually griefing to press 99% of the time, Atrophic which does not apply to all damage, immunity. We bring basically nothing while also being extremely handicapped.
Sin is able to get away with it because of Iron Wire existing but after the buffs today to FDK, Arcane, and giga buffs to Enhance Iron Wire isnât going to be enough to keep Sin in the meta lol.
Edit: Hilarious note FDK and Arcane actually just got hotfix nerfed while I was writing this but theyâre still going to be the meta specs anyways so
I just want to play my class and do decent dps with needing the aid of a AI system to tell me how to play. Why is this such an ask! Iâve seen Blizzard do it (glares at the paladins).
Ugh why must everything be like explaining a strat to a raid as a low dps. They donât listen we wipe 7000 times then a few weeks later someone from the guild lead has an idea that works. But it was your idea from a few weeks ago. Blizzard does this to people in the forums. /facepalms
Outlaw in EU seems more popular in PVE and PVP than NA servers, so I have to wonder that perception tends to drive reality.
But right now Assassination is very popular in PVE and PVP because it can perform in many facets of the game like raids, M+ and PVP.
Well servers came up and Outlaw isnât even playable at all right now so
Adrenaline Rush is breaking stealth and Blade Flurry is now just randomly disabling itself.
I play retail to. you coming for an Avatar on a chat forum says more about you than anything. chill out my dude. and ofc you are a legion baby. wild.
I have no clue when most Rogue players started but I started in late BC.
And weâre depending on these people to improve the spec without killing it.
/Sigh
Glad to know Iâm not crazy, was wondering about that.
I need to look at logs to confirm, but I believe I am rarely having Vanish just flat not apply Subterfuge. Was doing bloodbound, heard the vanish audio and started into Crackshot, and looked down to see that BTE was on CD.
Okay, did a quick test in pvp with trickster and supercharger (of course no crackshot as you have to drop subterfuge for supercharger) and it feels⌠kinda good? I was not expecting it but it seems that we may have a decent crackshot alternative build, maybe not the same damage as crackshot builds but it doesnât feel bad to not take crackshot
Serrated bone spike is breaking stealth for assass as well.
Can confirm through logs, subterfuge is not applying on Vanish occasionally. Logs showing 2 missing subterfuge buff windows in my Court kill just now.
19 uptimes with the buff, 21 windows where it should have been active, 20 casts of Vanish.
So, add that to the list of garbage weâre dealing with.
The burst is very similar with Kspree Trickster using super charger points, but Crackshot has the added bonus of CDR which is hard to beat at the moment.
And Bones thought it was people on the forums going to ruin Outlaw.
Well, checkmate, Mr. Leaderboard, the developers were two steps ahead of us.
The real buff is that Roll the Bones is affected by Restless Blades, so you get more supercharges per roll, which means Summarily Dispatched Stacks/Between the Eyes/Killing Spree are going to hit harder more often.
If Iâm reading this right, with Superchargerâs tree fully talented, you can have a ten combo-point Killing Spree. Now if Killing Spree had Blade Rusheâs animations and kept the camera stillâŚ
Always have been!
I really donât understand this, if youâre in M+ an you need to pool on anything other than a single target boss 6s prior to dropping kings bane sans Death Mark youâre losing damage because Envenom/Caustic does many times over the amount of damage you get for Sangween Blades (spelling intentional). The only thing you sit still for is not pre clipping an envenom.
The new Twist the Knife really makes energy regen smooth in ST for raid, but it was already smoothing out with 7800 haste so IDK why âpoolingâ would be a thing when literally every paint by numbers thing about Assassination points to dumping as many Envenoms into a given something as possible. In M+ you can use high crit to get a lot of cp up with little energy thanks to FOK and in ST just get more haste. Bam no pooling.
Pooling on Sin is a outdated with current Assassination design and if youâre doing it outside of some very specific situations youâre playing the spec wrong.
I think my biggest mistake with sin is trying to play it with straight up Sub gears lmao, I have like 20% crit and 1% haste, everything is in versa/mastery. But in general, I also feel like the spec is just lower APM due to not having Relentless Strikes.
Assassination and Outlaw have been drifting aimlessly since they removed Relentless Strikes from both specs. The devs have to revert that change.
Sure, they can design around the two specs not having Relentless Strikes but so far they are not doing a good job on that front.
I find it hilarious that I called it before the patch hit. We didnât fix the BTE issue. We just moved where it was going to break at.
Noticably worse, if I might add, because you canât even use ambush/dispatch to compensate for the loss like before. Now, you just flat lose the window and are stuck with SS/Pistol shot eating your energy while waiting on another charge, hoping it doesnât just decide to not work. The incompetence is huge here.
