Are people upset over no rdf

because they want it for wrath dungeons, or because they want it for low-level classic leveling dungeons? i can completely understand the latter, but for wrath dungeon groups that can be formed in probably… seconds? wth?

Not on lower pop servers or ones if you are on the imbalanced faction.

I want it so I can be more elitist without pissing off half the server.

Yea apparently hitting “/4 ctrl-v” is super hard for some people and they can’t do that while questing

Both. Not having RDF just cripples the game for many and makes it less casual play friendly.

Unless you’re a tank or healer group finder currently takes much longer than RDF ever did which is counter productive for an adult who might get off work an play an hour or two. Nevermind instead of actually playing the game you’re sitting there refreshing a bulletin board or simply opting out of group content because why waste your time?

The reality is most people who don’t want RDF don’t even use group finder. They group with a guild or a Discord social. Every group I’ve ran with (14 now) has been as quiet as a church mouse. Hi’s happen, silence the entire run, then byes.

The worst part of it all is even if RDF was added this subsect of people who are obsessed with maliciously gatekeeping groups don’t even have to touch it. It’s not about others enjoyment, but their ability to ruin the game for others. Atypical juvenile gamer/twitch culture.

Im mostly on the fence for rdf, im fine with and without it.
Although, having it for dungeons below level 68 would be very nice as its getting harder to form groups. Although, I could see this causing a big argument about like “its in the game why cant us 70+ players use it then”. Something dumb like that, basically making people more upset.

I am completely pro RDF for non current content and when the dungeons become out of date in later patches add it back.

maybe start out RDF for Classic and TBC, then some time for Wrath, then later for Raids (non heroic)

Wow you guys, it’s so easy find groups in all of Wrath! Has nothing to do with Wrath currently being new and shiny and absolutely everyone with even a passing interest in the game playing and dungeon spamming!

The game will absolutely continue to be this busy throughout Wrath, I’m positive about it you guys!

Both. As for the explanation for Wrath dungeons, yes it may be easy to form them now but will they be in a few weeks time when everyone is done with their heroics and have started raid logging? We’re already seeing issues of gatekeeping cropping up, and it’s only going to get worse when dungeons start to become a premium event rather than an expected occurance

Yeah, but there’s a chance someone might say something to you if you do that.

It’s not gatekeeping, it’s elitism.

What’s the difference?

Gatekeeping is prohibiting most or all access to something. So things like lockouts, attunements, level restrictions, and daily/weekly caps. Elitism is when specific people think they’re better than you so won’t play with you, which is what people seem to be experiencing.

For old world alt leveling yes, but more importantly the future of wrath itself.

We can’t judge the future based on the booming beginning. Groups for certain dungeons are going to be painful to find anyone and if people have to put in effort to group they just won’t.

RDF is automatic there is no effort for anyone and so it encourages those who may not have grouped to group in those dry times of expansions.

The real debate is wether cross server RDF should be implemented or not, to me.

I suppose that’s a fair definition.

Once the honeymoon phase of an expansion launch is over, putting together for a wrath dungeon and or joining will drop.
