Just wanted to ask whether this is a thing? Not going to name names especially since I could be wrong but I faced a Hunter, on my DK, and every Deathgrip this Hunter would instantly disengage. It was so fast that it didn’t even register the full deathgrip. disengaging in the middle which made it impossible to close the gap.
Maybe they just have REALLY fast fingers. I also wasn’t Deathgriping immediately off CD, incase of tracking, I thought maybe it was them tracking the CD. Just seemed weird especially since I main Hunter and especially while in the middle of your rotation.
I do realize some players are just insane though like watching Pikaboo, it’s probably do-able but just wanted to know whether it’s actually a thing some players could be exploiting.
If a player is doing this and cheating it’s typically evident from other areas of their gameplay. But it is very possible, and Jellybeans has demonstrated how to do it quite a few times. Waiting for DG CD, getting separation and then watching omnibar for it.
But if they’re some legit nobody 2k player that like, misses every trap and turtles air, never RoSs, positions horribly and is still somehow getting every single one, they’re prob botting
Yeah but I mean this felt like more than a Weak Aura, I mean I use them also but getting death gripped, you maybe have .2 seconds? To react especially to cause the reaction which it was disengaging in the middle of the grip.
Like I said… Maybe this person is that fast & if so… kuddos to them I just wanted to know whether some sort of script like that does exist cause that would explain it :P.
yep they are hacking, that auto-insta-disengage is so obvious that even lags their character because the hack is sending massive amounts of information to the game server, you can even while attacking other target just target grip them of grip focus them and they will instantly disengage, just keep reporting them eventually blizzard will get those cheaters, seems like there are also druids using the same hack
Ive been accused of botting twice on frost mage, once on hpal, and most recently on assassination rogue.
Never botted in my life, and I’m not particularly great at any spec.
Bots exist, but I’ve only encountered a handful that I can be certain of over the life of the game, so imo 99% of the time someone just reacted super fast thanks to a weak aura/addon, they were specifically waiting to do y in response to your x based on muscle memory/experience, etc., and the player(s) making the accusation(s) is/are just not experienced enough or good enough to understand why they got outplayed.
I could be underestimating the botting of course, as I’ve for sure had my fair share of experiences where players consistently perfectly timed things, but at the end of the day we can’t really control what some loser cheater does, so just gotta keep chugging along and not let it bother you too much.
I really don’t think bots are that prevalent, at least not in arena, but what do I know
I think the most prevalent form of cheating is RMT for rating boosts, pilots, etc., and not to much scripting/hacking.
This is funny because while I know it’s possible I can’t remember any huntard ever actually doing this vs my DK but I had one do it every time a couple of days ago. Makes me wonder if we got a godtier JellyBeans jr on the rise or if there’s some new script/cheat going around with this baked into it.
Its not new. There are a couple popular “WASD” to glad bots that do all that for you. They are fairly inexpensive and do things like that. The one kalvish was vs in blitz and posted is a good example.
The unlockers get detected, botters get banned then just roll new acct on same bnet and do it again and lose nothing but cost of a new acct. You still keep everything.
Example you use one of those hunter bots that do all that auto trap and pump max dps, get glad it gets banned. Your new WoW2 would still have access to the glad mount/achieves you only lost the hunter.
PC unlockers have quite a few ban this year but Mac is like invisible to blizzard somehow outside of manual reports/investigation bans.
Yeah, I don’t want to name names because I can’t prove anything but this person is very high up on the ladder.
I mainly 2’s and most my chars are 1950-2k+ MMR is about 2.1+. That’s why I’m not discounting the fact it could just be legit game-play but when I say this person was doing this every single time… It just seemed weird. I’ll have to watch some Jellybeans, to see how often he’s able to pull it off but I could also have just been somehow telegraphing. Who knows…
The person I saw doing it was just some rando 2200 shuffle hunter but I swear he did it every time and I can’t remember any hunter ever doing it before.
Thats how it works blizzard doesn’t close bnets just the account question. You are free to make a new WoW account under same bnet and continue to use your ill gotten goods.
I know a guy who buys boosts and bots pretty heavily and a friend who saw his bnet once said he was like WoW 1-20 from all the bans he’s gotten yet he has everything and a stacked check pvp.
Wow that is such bs. I actually can’t believe that’s how it works. Someone should do an interview with Ion and ambush him with that question of why it’s allowed to work like that. Ridiculous.
I mean your technically punished and lost your account and character forever. Everything else is battlenet wide so.
I think its super rare they actually close battlenets or HWID ban gotta be an extreme reason. Since other games and stuff are linked on there not just WoW.
