I’ve heard they have the worst racial for Spriest and I’ve never seen a Nelf Spriest. Any input?

Later on you for solo/level pve you can use shadowmeld to break agro.
Its nice for run past the mobs you cba to rekill and jsut clear that out.
I can’t recall if meld does that in era level though. I want to say that was later changes.
PVP side…I’ve liked night elf anything for meld. Meld to hide and see who walks into the “empty” objective.
Isn’t meld not usable in combat for a really long time? Like wrath or later*?

Can’t use meld in combat in classic. NE has a good aesthetic but is one of the worst racial classes for priest.
Is alliance even worth it when Undead can break fear?
Dorfpriests can dispel poison with Stoneform which gives them an edge over every other Priest in PVP.
For PVE, Fear Ward is just way better than what Humans and Elfs get.
10-second out-of-combat Shadowmeld for hiding in PVE and PVP is nice, tho.
Elfpriest is best for throwing Horde off the lumber mill in AB or into the lava in BRS on PVP servers.
Nelfs are okay. You can showdowmeld then surprise mind control people off ledges or whatever.
Dwarves have stoneform, which is a direct counter to undead priest damage racial.
Dwarves also have fear ward, which is wanted in raids and PvP.
Dwarves also get that panic healing racial.
basically a dev really liked dwarves back in the day and gave them all the good stuff while night elves got an arcane version of mind flay that is weaker than mindflay, oh and some extra dodge on a spell too.
The stealth from shadowmeld does allow for some fun shenanigans in world PvP, and its more convenient to be able to stealth while eating/drinking then alt tab or go to bathroom without worrying about mobs aggroing/getting ganked. The problem with not being a dwarf is that dwarves are just too good.

Nelves are bis class for sneak MC into lava or off tall ledges.
NE priest is better for solo q pvp over dwarf imo.
It only takes 5 seconds of not being attacked in a pvp fight to drop combat. Macro eat/drink/meld and you can stealth and eat mid fight, sometimes multiple times.
You can also meld casters (pvp) mid cast when they drop combat. I’ve melded (+eat/drink) plently of fireball / frostbolts etc because the caster didn’t hit me for 5 seconds. Every single time you eat/drink, you’re stealthed. Actually a huge deal in BGs, out of sight = out of mind.
Stealth to cloak enchant also buffs your shadow meld stealth level. I tested it on 2 accounts in era. Makes it so people have to get really close to see you.
NE priest also has star shards. It’s nice for channelling on people who run into the WSG hut or around a wall. Elune’s grace is also amazing verse hunters.
blizz buffed dwarves because they expect no1 to roll them thats for sure.
(they added 2 dwarves races more and even then u barely see dwarves ) , TWW has some thanks to "new " race but still…
That is no doubt a nice racial but I think the Undead fear break is much more valuable
