Unfortunately not. I think cata is pretty active but wow’s population is spread pretty thin over like 5 or 6 separate versions of the game and there’s not enough people leveling who wanna q bgs.
Only ones I’ve seen pop are the 80-84 bracket, and I hear 19s pop too but it’s all twinks.

Bingo. In general I think it’s great that there are so many different ways to play WoW these days but the price for that freedom is that niche things like low level bg’s simply don’t have a deep enough pool of players.

I think this is an issue that may need to be addressed sooner than later. Too many versions of the game going at once it’s starting to show many issues with all of them slowly leaking from the cracks. I’m not sure what their solution would be at this time, as everyone is enjoying different aspects of the game and the versions that exist, but it’s no surprise that more and more bugs are showing and que times are becoming longer or non existent in many versions of the game currently.
Why would anybody want to play low level BGs, twinks ruined that crap a decade ago.

Yep.
RDF is there. and even on sub 60 chars I’ve done recently to at least tbcc, even DPS waits are kind of quick actually.
By the time one would get that gear to match the
twinks…they’ve now leveled out of brackets.
Also the rdf is just more effective for most peoples needs imo. its gold, xp and items if you win rolls.
Vice the “fun” nights I had in say TBCC/wrath lacking RDF option.
Twinks could do the infamous WSG gy farm session. Joy!..its cancel rez for 15 minutes or till they get bored and run flags.
15 minutes in a RDF hit? Its nice xp, 4 ish bosses for loot chances and whatever trash drops for greens.
that and the class imbalance at low levels makes certain classes gods and others victims by default

Too many people play twinks, ruined low level BG’s for me a very long time ago. I’m sure literally everyone else feels the same way.
at this point in time the majority of players for Cata are people that already had a ton of lvl 80s in wrath, and even those leveling new characters from scratch tend to queue for dungeons over BGs while questing
No one wants to que to get stomped by twinks. Leveling is just too fast and not worth wasting time in BGs unless you are a twink who turned off xp.
They definitely used to be a thing in OG cata and I leveled 6 characters to 85 solely via BGs back then. Blizzard severely nerfed the xp gained from BGs in Classic Cata, so the playerbase has abandoned them and low level BGs are now dead. Take away the incentive and you’re left with this.

I used to enjoy them back in the day, on my first account. I liked them as a fun break from questing, and wanted to get the different mounts, since they weren’t so easy to get for the other races. I would still enjoy doing them, if they popped at low levels.
Yeah that too for sure.
I haven’t played any brackets besides 80-84, because they don’t pop - but the xp was basically non-existent even for wins. It’s fun for a few games but the 20+ minute ques and lack of xp makes it kinda a waste of time when I can just finish leveling and hit 85 then q actual bgs.

They are not dead, they are just bugged. All low level bgs and arena queues do not work.
Idk if they’re bugged or not but 81-84 still pops. The queues can be long though. I play era Bgs on a 2nd account while waiting for cata Bgs to pop.
twinks vs twinks was the most fun i had back in og tbc / wrath.
