Are elves born with long ears?

Or do they grow and little elflings get older? Childbirth isn’t exactly a happy fun process. I can’t imagine the event being improved by a set of long pointy ears.

They start out tiny then start to poke out with age.

A baby with sensitive hearing from big ears just sounds like no fun at all.

There are elf child models in game. Do those have really long ears? Depending on their size that should give us the answer.

The more we lie, the bigger our ears grow.

You aren’t a very good liar.

They are probably soft and flexible for the first couple of months of life.

Lol.
My ears are kinda weak too.
No shame in that.

They function much like an egg-tooth in birds and lizards.

Elves use their ears to rip themselves out of their gooey embryonic sacs.

No, we aren’t born with long ears. If you look at my eyes, they’re tiny.

We are born with a third eye in the back our heads, but nobody sees it cause we grow our hair out.

They buy them at the ear store.

I’m guessing at some point they fall out and elves grow their adult ears.

It’s a well hidden secret, but Elves actually lay eggs. When they’re ready to hatch, they sway their heads back and forth and their ears actually help them break out of their shells.
