M+ is garbage content for a MMO.
But it doesn’t threaten it… it is a useful tool to sometimes get a piece of gear you might be missing to help do M+ more efficiently. It feels like when people got email and wanted to tax the use of it because it was going to kill snail mail. It is silly. It isn’t like you can’t do both, one, the other, or none.
I don’t find delves easy although they are sure better with Brann as a healer than a dps. But far too much button pushing for my liking.
I don’t really think so. Doing an 8. If you misstep, you’re dead. Maybe we’re all just getting really good at the game. I can see a casual going in there and getting whooped quickly.
In my experience, it was fine and kind of a good thing to help keep dungeons relevant, as opposed to doing them for a little bit and then essentially raid logging for the rest of the patch/expansion.
That being said, they have gotten worse and worse over time because people are getting WAY too concerned with “meta comp” and “doing it like MDI/streamer players do”
Additionally, they expect the run to be blazing fast, flawless, perfect. No wipes, no deaths, no slowdowns and timed. They bail because
"omg, i’ll have an untimed run on my raiderio sheet! "
"WTF! Why isn’t this run of random people I have never played with before. who i am not on discord with, not going like i saw those top level, coordinated streamers that have run hundreds of dungeons together?
They would be better if 80-90+% of people just relaxed, ditched the I, I, I" “me, me ,me” “mine, mine, mine” mentality and stopped pretending they were, are or are going to be the next big MDI player/streamer for M+
For me, it ruined dungeon running in WoW. I get that they wanted to extend the life of dungeons, but they could have approached in so many other ways rather than turning them into Diablo Greater Rifts.
Have had runs with 40 deaths, so no it doesn’t always go like that. It’s about projected time spent.
If the group wipes on pull 1… likely gone.
Boss 3? yea, maybe a few more pulls.
If its for score, as soon as it’s projected bricked, bye.
M+ players have been pampered since its conception. Let casuals have their fun in delves. Your game wouldn’t be alive if you chase casuals away from the game. You’re the minority. Casuals are the ones keeping the servers up.
so 4 key loots a week that awards normal ilvl raid loot and then a 616 once week from the vault isn’t all that great. i mean you can infinitely spam mythic+ with no limits so that’s going to give way more loot than devles ever will. i really don’t get the complaints tbh.
Some of them are.
The mycromancers one is so easy it’s almost sad. I run in on my bear tank and pull a bunch of stuff, drag them over to the spores, and blow them all up.
Repeat a couple times and I’m collecting 603 gear. It’s pretty easy.
I will say tho no all the delves are equal. Some are much harder than others
I meant max for the content, so being able to get the highest delve end loot every time rather than 4/week. Definitely could have made that clearer though.
M+ does allow the highest end of dungeon every time, because it’s more difficult and requires 5.
Mythic raid, also always rewards the max and is the hardest in play and logistics. (And really should be dropping 2-3x more loot since you get 1 run a week)
That’s a pretty fair setup IMO.
How are they gating content anyone can walk into alone?
Well good thing cloth wearers can do the same exact thing…
I mean they can…they’ll most likely die too of course.
As for the OPs question, if you look at past expansions, yes technically they are “too easy” for the initial gear you get. However, that also means that no one has an excuse not to try to get the gear.
Of course these factors affect delves:
- 4 given keys (if you do the weeklies)
- Only 4 Bountiful delves a day
- GV slots cap at doing T8s and GV caps at ilvl 616
- You still have to deal with RNG. Meaning you can get 4 of the same slot drops for your keys of the week.
Like I posted in another thread, they could give you keys for days but there are still limitations and good ol’ RNG.
Delves have garbage trinkets. If you care about something good, you are going to have to run mythic dungeons or go raid.
I mean that was the same case for DF.
The only reason people did raids in DF were for the legendary, and trinkets, because raids held those hostage, other then that, raids were kinda poop.
some of em are hard
Looking for Raids is how I geared up my main and a few alternate characters. Other than that, world content that occasionally dropped champion pieces. Delves are giving me a chance to gear up a different path than previously. Not many people want to bring a liability with a hand disability (two amputated fingers) into their mythic dungeon that will tank their key.
I’m ok with not having the best gear, but I personally would rather have 1 set that can be like Pandoria “re-mix” than have labels like adventurer, champion, explorer, mythic, time-walking or veteran on them. Get one piece and just keep upgrading it with crests and stones like we did with bronze.
Ill let you know when they let healers solo one
I’m doing 9s on my frost DK. 603 gear sum. I’m always one step away from being 2-shotted or 1-shotted if I fail a mechanic. I could switch to blood and have a slower but much safer trip, but running frost is way too much fun, keeps things exciting. Can’t wait to get to 610 and try 10s.
