The writers and devs play Horde. How is it Blizzard hasn’t hired not ONE Alliance focussed developer in like how many years now? (since Ghostcrawler left)
(Commentary): The issue isn’t that Alliance players don’t want morally gray or even outright evil actions, it’s that we want to own them without question. Take the Purge of Dalaran. There’s too much stuff there going on. Bugs, cut content, revisited content, etc… Its hard to own that. But then take stuff like Dark Irons summoning a Magma Golem to kill goblins by the hundreds or Void Elves waging Psychological Warfare on the Horde. That stuff right there is blatantly evil, and we own it. There is no justification for it. There is no question it’s evil. And it’s ours.
I expect wow to attempt to be GoT (wouldn’t be hard, both are so poorly written) in that it’s going to kill all of its interesting characters and replace the cast with strong independent taelias
I do think alliance views are taken more laughably because of “the meme” however. There are some notable differences between either faction, and one side does not hold all the “positives.”
I have multiple 120s on each faction. I have not noticed a lack of enjoyment on either one. But I do have pros and cons for the playstyle and communities of each one.
At the end of the day, both sides have good things and bad things. Blizzard is not at war. They just read the forums.
Key factor: Alliance recieved a main city where everything is five seconds away. Horde recieved a main city where some thing are out of render distance… and before flying it was a general nightmare.
(Commentary): The issue here is, the Orcs weren’t enslaved. They were imprisoned. Slavery requires that the Orcs would’ve been considered property to be bought and sold. They were kept in the Internment Camps as a matter of safety for the rest of the world.
(Commentary): I did. Unless reforged added Slave Markets with Orcs being bought and sold, Thrall is an outlier, not the standard.
They need to have someone like Asmongold come in and be a game developer or at least consultant. They need someone who actually loves and cares about the Alliance and what happens to it. I can think of no better person.
