But bleeds and dots keep ticking through after pressing it. Is this intended? The words “protects you from all harm” seems to imply it isn’t. Periodic damage still harms you…
And yes, I died through tranq a few days ago and am still super salty about it
As I recall it works sort of like turtle where it deflects inbound abilities assuming it was cast first but doesn’t affect dots, even if the tooltip sort of suggests it.
IDK how that’s supposed to work but I have noticed in the few amount of games that I’ve done this season that my bleeds-sometimes-go through tranq, but not full damage.
Seems like if I have dot’s up before traq is used they hit, applied after (say the healer is just in range of my crimson tempest/garrote range) they don’t really do anything meaningful until the Tranq is over.
I haven’t seen enough rdruids on my Spreist or played enough games to give you a contrast against magic dots vs bleeds.
Ya which is weird because aspect of the turtle very clearly makes this distinction in its tooltip
Where obviously if the dot is already on you, the attack has been made, so it just reduces that damage by 30% instead of deflecting it like it would a new dot application. Idk why blizz just can’t keep their wording consistent.
I’ll maybe take some clips later, but it also feels like some dots/bleeds go through where others don’t (as arbiter alluded to while I was typing this post). Like, in the example which sparked this thread, I got gripped->stunned->trinketed->strangulate silenced on my trinket->couldn’t tranq until I was like 20%->died from feral bleeds ticking at 100% effectiveness. I prob could have done stuff differently, but it was basically in the opener so I only had hots rolling on DPS, and didn’t really have any spare globals to ironbark+overgrowth+swiftmend+ns+regrowth myself
At least tranq actually heals now, so you don’t just hit pause for a few seconds and come out still at 30% hp and your whole team dead (most of the time) like at the beginning of the season, but I feel like I’m owed some kind of compensation for emotional damages here
they have a bugged ability right now called Sudden Demise which bypasses anything (life cocoon, divine shield, etc) if it gets triggered at the right time. I would expect it to go through tranq too
In my example it was a feral druid, but I’ve noticed this against rogues as well.
Ive also noticed assa rogues just continuing to run through their rotation while I’m tranqing several times, and this would explain that, I just chalked it up to them being bad, but they might not even realize their damage isn’t supposed to continue rolling through tranq or know specifically which spell interactions go through (or they do and are trying to proc a buggy interaction)
Monk sleep will remove kidney shot
Prot warrior shield charge flat out stuns through tranq immunity
Cc the shaman during prime wave travel time, they don’t get the FS up.
